    Cool My Honda CG125 Deluxe Euro-ll

    Hi everybody
    So here is my new ride Honda Deluxe.
    Previously i have used CD70, Junoon and GS150.
    Yesterday when i went to purchase it, i had Suzuki experience in mind when i had to choose between 15 bikes standing there and still i couldn't find a perfect piece for me. So i was again ready to examine the bike thoroughly before purchase.
    There was only one black Deluxe standing there and i asked the manager if they had more in stock, he said that you check this one, if you find any fault then we will bring another piece out. So i started checking the bike and was pleasantly surprised to find that there was no minor defect i could detect. So just went ahead and got it.
    Initial impression is good.
    Good to have fuel gauge back, liking the Disk Brake
    It certainly isn't as vibrationless as GS150, but very agile compared to GS. You can zig zag it easily through the traffic.

    One thing in particular i love about Euro 2 CG-125 & Deluxe is ... the Air Intake Sound.

    Accelerate the bike upto 8-9k RPM ... and then reduce the race quickly, to let the bike De-Accelerate. The sound it makes while intaking air ... its like ... ZZZUUNNNGGGGGG

    Just AWESOME

    I had a chance to ride a Euro 2 for very brief period of time today, traveled more than 250kms today within Lahore (awara gardi with some friends -- around 10PM to 10AM on Canal Road, Ferozpur Road and then again Canal Road ) and the thing i loved THE MOST was this Intake sound of the bike.

    ZZZZUUUUNNNGGGGGG

    P.S. We burned too much fuel for nothing :\

    About Deluxe & Classic's Exhaust Note ... yes its indeed different.

    I think its because the Deluxe's Silencer looks the same but its not.

    Someone a while ago took some exact measurements of Deluxe & Classic's (EUro2) Silencer and the Deluxe's silencer had tad bigger mouth. (if i am not mistaken, which i am sure i am not )

    Then some people also say that Deluxe's engine has more compression as well (though on the official website, I haven't found any such thing)

    Baaqi ALLAH janay kya difference hay. Company walay chawal log to kabhi sahi baat batatay nahi.

    Yep, its a fact about the Roaring sound of older 125s.

    Waisay i love all of them equally (just don't like the rather silent tone of Piaggio & GS150)

    Another thing about Deluxe & Classic (Euro2) sound is that if you remain below or up 50/60km (drive with ease i mean) ... you won't notice the sound of the bike.

    But drive it hard upto 8-9 or even 10k RPM and you'll notice that the bike will actually road much more than the older 125s. (Bike's exhaust note gets Stronger and Punchier as the RPM rises)

    Btw ... still can't forget that ZZZZZUUUUUUNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGG sound from last night (its not like its the first time ... maybe the last night was really enjoyable for me since i haven't gone out for this long since ... maybe last 3 years)

    Checked fuel average again with 1000 rupee petrol, covered 388Km till it hit the reserve again.
    Fuel average 40Km/lit. this also includes a trip from ISL to Murree.

    Gull bhai ! Bura mat man'na but i believe you aren't measuring the average correctly.

    "MY" bike at its current stage is doing 38KM/L and MAX it hits is 40KM/L. That is:
    - When i ride it HARD, and also on Higher Speeds (because of Canal Road route)
    - The mixture is tuned down (otherwise, it would be doing even less than 33KM/L)

    So Can we please be honest and try to measure the correct way?

    First Fill:
    - Get the bike fueled to its Maximum Capacity.
    - Notice the Meter Reading (say 32190)

    2nd Refill: (upon hitting the Reserve)
    - Get it Refueled FULLY but this time, notice HOW Much fuel went in.
    - Divide that number (say 7.9L) with the Distance Traveled (say, 312KM) ... and you'll get almost 40KM/L fuel average.

    P.S. The numbers used as an example are "MY" bike's recent numbers.

    i always measure using reserve to reserve method.
    Bike hit the reserve at 502Km. I took the reading, put 1000 rupee petrol in it and used it till it hit the reserve again at 890Km.
    So total distance covered in 1000 rupee petrol is 388Km.
    fuel price 103.4/litre. so 1000 rupee petrol = 9.67 litre.
    388/9.67 = 40.12

    Download an application named FuelLog Pro from Android market. It calculates automatically...

    You just have to mention price and quantity of petrol upon refills

    I hate Atlas Honda for not disclosing the detailed Technical Specifications of their products. However, here they are:

    Horsepower: 10.85Hp @ 9,000 rpm
    Max Torque: 9.8Nm @ 7,000 rpm

    Gear Ratios:-
    1 = 2.769
    2 = 1.722
    3 = 1.273
    4 = 1.042
    5 = 0.885
    Primary Reduction - 3.333
    Final Reduction - 3.214

    Thanks bro
    those are pretty high RPMs, but the way Deluxe give quick response at lower RPMs , i thought it's max torque would be around 6000 RPM or even less.
    Anyway, this is all that is given on manual.

    Anytime bro,

    The first three gear ratios of Deluxe and Classic are same yet Deluxe has a better torque because of its final reduction of 3.071 whereas Classic has a final reduction of 2.533.
    Classic takes lead as soon as both shift to the 4th gear. Deluxe catches up in 5th gear after it hits 9,000 rpm and if a Deluxe hits 9,500 or more RPM there are almost no chances for a Classic to keep up with it.

    Hmmm
    even at 9500 RPM, theoretically Deluxe would be doing 107Km/h. I think CG could still tap that

    But practically it gets faster than that and becomes a pain in CG's ****.
