I can understand that Euro 2 owners feel offended whenever someone tries to mock the new bike. But its a fact that despite all the new additions in new Euro 2, its not any better than older models.
Plus, the price and the quality of the bike has gone down so much that frankly, i would never invest in a brand new bike any more.
You pay 100k for CG-125 because of "its beauty" and then immediately after buying it, you have to spend another 5k for Arya Rims because the current RIMs are crap in quality. Then you also have to get New Tyres because the brand new tyres coming with the bike are never aligned.
A friend of mine kept his brand new Euro 2 in even better condition than mine and still ended up worn up Rings after 25k kilometers (Engine oil used, Kixx 4T korean w/ change interval of 800-900kms). Worn out Clutch Plates after just 12k kilometers. And he is FAR better driver than I am.
As for the Top Speed and Acceleration. Lets not go there because that is depends on the Driver. My friends beat several Euro 2 bikes on MY 2009 model 125, and i couldn't match a single Euro 2 while driving myself.
The "black" silencers people are so fond of, an insider person who handles the production at Honda Factory tells me all these are B-Pair silencers which are being colored and sold with new bikes. Which is exactly the reason they went Kaput (completely lose their sound) after just 10k kilometers.
On the brighter side, yes i admit overall it has smoother ride and the fun and thrill of a CG125 is still there.
If you are looking to buy a brand new bike, you are better off getting a Piaggio 125.
