Default Buyer's Dilemma: Honda CG125 Deluxe, Suzuki GS150 and RP125

    Asalam O Alikum everyone,
I have seen quite a lot of forum posts here on PW about the best motorbike in Pakistan but really failed to get hold of the idea of it.

I owned a Honda Deluxe 2102 which was sold After a minor accident in September 2013. I loved the ride but the problem with it was the breaking in wet conditions and the plastic noises from the rear end.

Now after a while, I want to purchase a bike but the fight between the rivals is still there.

I am a student in Islamabad belonging to Azad Kashmir. Casual trips to the north, stability, durability, parts, maintainability, after sales service, build quality, fuel economy and my height (6'3") are my concerns. I know that all of these three bike are one of the least 'resale friendly' units.

I need an honest suggestion about these bikes, which to buy and where to buy in Islamabad. Awaiting replies. Thank you.

one must keep in mind that Suzuki is an international company and GS 150 is much better then other bikes on the other hand Honda bikes are manufacturing by local dealer Atlas Honda and they are providing substandard bikes RP is collaboration of Italian company Piagoo so go for Suzuki because they himself manufacturing bikes that is also suitable for long routs or wait for Yamaha bikes coming soon Yamaha company has started their plant in Karachi and DYL has no concern with Yamaha any more our local assemblers tried their best to stop Yamaha coming in Pakistan and were succeeded but present govt support them and my advice is to go for Suzuki or wait for Yamaha rest is fake

I am thinking to buy honda deluxe 2010 model as it is 5 forward ( 2009 and below are 4 forward, because it matters, having one extra gear because it releases engine tension on high throttler.) but some body told me about it breaks that they make the bike to get slip on wet road (during raining).you have drive it, can you share your experience about its breaks...other members are also welcomed please suggestions.....

    Thanks noman222

Please tell me how much mileage this ride will give me in my scenario? How about the resale of this model and seat is comfortable for long rides? Have personally tested it for long rides?

one of my friend using pridor. he is happy with comfort and fuel econmy. it is up to u how u treat ur bike. if ur average speed is between 50 t0 60 hope it will do 50+ km/L. i have deluxe and i m riding at avg speed of 50 to 60 giving me aprox 45 km/L. and resaling is also good as it is stylish + comfortable bike. so donot hesitate to purchase pridor.

    AoA Friend!

All the bikes you mentioned are great to ride, built for the city (commuters). They are almost in the same price range and category (single cylinder, chain driven). Companies have put in an equal amount effort to make their product successful so just have fun with whatever you buy.

The problem occurs for bikers who are stretching their budgets too far to get a Harley Davidson / Triumph or a BMW Motorcycle. There are far too many factors, variables to consider and the risk is high since that is their life savings.

We want a fun practical motorcycle to commute every day. Buy what your heart desires and have fun.
