Default Help Required: Honda Pridor Performance- long Drives

    Hi Seniors,

I did a trip of 70 km 1 side and observed one thing I noticed is that in the heat of sun its sound changes and it is no more that smooth. What do u say?

I explore all 100 pages of Pridor Fan club but didnt got my answers.

Please share Pridor Performance experience on Hilly area's?

Like on Continous Slops, I wanna take my pridor tuff time (its 2014 Model and only 1000 Km driven)

or any long drive experience (Performance), I wanna continous drive 100 Km with speed 80kmph, (Lahore to Fasilabad)

    Please

you can drive your pridor at 80km/h for 100km contineously nothing will happen
but for regular long drives its good to keep speed little more low around 75km/h
at this speed engine will run more relax so engine will last longer

i have driven my pridor many times at full throttle full speed for contineous 70km
this included travelling in hot days summers too i did not feel any loss in performance
infact bike use to become smooth as engine oil heats up i mostly used AHl CD100 oil
but from quite recent time i had been using zic 20w40 in my bike and its performance
was better than AHl engine oil

I did many trips on my bike not very long trips but longest was 350km & other around 330km
and also did many trips like 200+kms it never disappointed me performance wise
    its performance was constant same

My trips included short short stops

with my experience i can say with confident pridor can be driven at speed 80 for contineous 100km
its not big deal for pridor and for climbs & hills its engine is powerful it would not worry you in climbing too

But as per my experience, Pridor is smooth till 60 km/h. Above that it struggles and becomes noisier . Yes Zic 20w-40 performs better than AHL oil.

As long as you don't ride in top 10km/h speed of your bike, you can expect quite long engine life in long run.
For example, if Pridor does 90km/h then it should be fine traveling at 80km/h for long routes.

As for steep climbs, i think 100CC is enough for a solo rider. With pillion minimum 125CC required.

Regarding smoothness in hot weather, try switching to thicker grade oil. It might improve things.

switch to better Plug/platinium if you can found it for pridor, you can ask Makhdoom autos for that, add STP Feul Treatment it increases bikes economy and enhances power can be found in Metro Cash & Cary.

    bro Imran,
    I have Pridor 2013 model.
I have travelled on my Pridor continuous 578KM in a single day and then took it back after a week on the same route (From Gujranwala to Bahawalpur and then back). I kept bike between 80-95 km/h.
Also i did a trip of Kashmir (Bhimber) on my Pridor with a biker friend who has Sprinter on the top peeks near pak border and came back.

Felt no issue of anything abnormal at all. Usually i use AHL oil. But for long trips i use Havoline 20-50 grade and chage it on 600KM on long route also you should keep an extra air filter set to change at 600km on your way.

The fuel/air mixture carb setting should be done correctly for optimum performance.
    regards,

I have not noticed any problem.

Default Yes i found that too

Mine is 2014 model too 7000km chala lea hai in 4 months.its not about the heat outside but when engine gets heated up as i keep it between 90kmph-100kmph for constant 14 km.when engine heats up i feel slight difference in the way it sounds.cg125's sound change too when its engine heats up when going at 100kmph constantly.Mechanic says "jab engine oil garam ho kar zara thin ho jata hai toh engine parts ki movement mai fark a jata as pehle thick hota hai jab thanda ho but its not a fault just different nothing unusual"
