Default Honda Pridor OR Suzuki GS150

    Hi Everyone,
I am new to PW forums, I have gone through many threads in last two days. A lot of good information available here, I appreciate all the contributors.

I am planning to buy a new bike, my usage is mostly from home to office and back to home (around 30-35 Km per day), and for family purpose as well.

I have used CD 70 and CG 125 in past.

I am looking for a bike that is a comfortable ride (CG125 is not very comfortable, it is hard i think ).
My priority is comfortable pillion riding (family/kids).

I need your suggestion, I am interested in pridor (it looks stylish, but not sure if it is comfortable for pillion).
Suzuki GS150 also seems good option (it looks quite good when it comes to pillion riding, but Some friends are telling Suzuki parts are very expensive).

Looking for your valuable suggestion between these two bikes.

    Thanks

GS seat angle isn't comfortable for pillion riding.
Pridor/Deluxe would be better options for that.

agree with the seat thing with GS - for long tours single passenger, nothing beats GS, if u can adjust the seat than perhaps even pillion would be rocking comfortable experience

dont know if such a think is possible, seat angle adjustment that is
Currently riding a Unique 100, also riding big b's suzuki gs 150 [too heavy ]
Which 1 better Honda 125 or Suzuki GS 150 ? Next ride - Suzuki GD110

You also have to count in the maintenance. GS has OHC engine which needs very timely maintenance and oil change.
If you can do that, go for GS, otherwise go for Pridor.

Every thousand kilometers or every month, you may need to inspect and tight the bolts, lubricate drive chain / clutch, change oil / filter, etc
    See Customer Care for details.

I am getting a service manual next week since I am more of an engineering nut and will do the maintenance myself

Yes, but OHC engine has more rotating parts than an OHV one.

It has to work extra hard to give more fine grained RPM control.

So it needs more maintenance in terms of that. As a result, you have to watch out for a timely engine oil change, otherwise you can risk making permanent damage to the engine. So it's more vulnerable to wear in such conditions!

As per my understandings, the Timely oil change is the most crucial for rings-piston than anything else. OHV or OHC comes second. A bad oil first damages the rings than any other part of an engine.

I have seen 2003 Suzuki Flash 2005 GS-150 models having sealed engines still.

I have seen 80's road masters with sealed engines still.

    These all are OHC engines.

go little easy on throttle, it's not 70cc.

GS smooth torquey engine is in a class of its own and it pulls the pillion weight happily but pillion keeps slipping to front because of seat angle, so it is up to the rider if he is willing to make this trade off

If slipping is the the only problem, then I think seat can be changed later if one finds the problem is serious
