Question What should be a first bike for a beginners? Honda CD 70 or Suzuki GS 150

    Hello

Recently, I have been planning to buy a bike. I need your professional/technical opinions in choosing a right bike that fits my needs. First let me tell you my main requirement or bike usage. Bike would be mostly used as follows:

    1. Short round trip (5 KMs) on weekdays.
    2. Long round trip (60 KMs) on weekend.

The bike I am considering is either Honda CD 70 (CD Dream) or Suzuki GS 150. (I know both are not comparable as both fall in different category and also I would choose Suzuki GS 150 over Honda 125 that is why I didn't put it in my options).

My Biking experience is NONE. I started learning bike from around 2 weeks now (Grounds Only) as I have been driving a car for about 7 years now so I think I am getting a hold onto it. My first choice was Suzuki GS 150 merely because of the shape but my friend is saying to buy CD 70 taking into the consideration of my usage.

I know CD 70 is light on budget and GS 150 is good on usage and experience. But I want to find out the following to decide:

    1. Cost-Benefit of both bikes?
    2. Average fuel consumption of both considering the above commute?
    3. Average bike service of both?
    4. Approximate monthly cost of using both bikes?

Looking forward for expert opinions on this.

don't go for cd 70 the bike is very light weight and has thin tyre no roadgrip gs 150 on the hand will be maintenance free bike if your buying a new gs 150 initially you have to visit some mechanics but after some time the bike will give no problem I would suggest you to go for 100cc class bike like raider or pridor If you want comfort go for pridor if you want power and fuel saving go for raider

I would recommend honda-cd-70 for beginner.
But not dream one. Get classic honda cd 70.

Considering you requirements i would recommend Pridor.

But if you must choose b/w the two than go for HONDA CD70. Why ?

1-Cheaper to buy and although it's resale is dropping due to chonda's it's still better than Suzuki
2-obviously 72cc and 150cc so fuel consumption is better but pridor has even better fuel consumption
    3-More or less the same
4-Monthly cost for CD70 with lets say 55km/l of average
    Total distance= (5*5)+(60*5)=325km
    Avg fuel price= Rs107/L

So monthly cost comes of petrol comes out to be (325/55)*107= 632

And since your monthly distance is 325 km you can get it tuned and oil changed with air filter replacement after every 3 months
Cost for that 200+300+50= Rs550 after every three months.
Note: I am assuming you will travel 1000km in 3 months, however if you reach this 1000 mark early get these 3 things done at that point.
If you ride like there's no tomorrow, there won't be.

Seeing to your use suzuki GD is the best option for you is the quality bike at the moment in all bikes.other wise suzuki raider 110cc is not a bad option is more economical & maintenance free bike & more powerful in 100cc class & one thing more all suzuki bikes are comes in latest engine technology means all suzuki bikes have OHC engine.hondas all models & chondas are vibrates well & comes in wohi 50 years old technology OHV.in comparison of ohv & ohc .ohc engines maintenance time period come after very long time.means you will adjust their valves after 5000 or 6000 km.other wise ohv engine maintenance needs are after every 2000km.my dear choice is yours

shafin bro, OP seems a mature person. when you went for your first ride you were probably 17.
Since he has the budget, i'll suggest him to go with bigger machine as he will outgrow 70CC in a matter of days.

And as far as beginner's concern goes, it is for those getting 500CCs as their first bike. GS has no chance of hurting a new rider with its tiny 12BHP engine.

As OP has no experience with bikes i would recommend cd70. Gs ka masla a gaya to an inexperienced person would face a lot of trouble. Better buy cd70 as it is a simple machine. If OP has good know how of how bikes work then by all means GS would serve him well as a first bike

150 cc r biggener bikes. 70s are only to save money on purchase and fuel. I would recommend 100 - 150cc of your choice.
