Default Chapter CG Dream Over - Sold The CG Dream - Unhappy With OHV CG125 Engine

Chapter CG Dream Over Sold The CG Dream Unhappy With OHV CG125 Engine -1651153Chapter CG Dream Over Sold The CG Dream Unhappy With OHV CG125 Engine -1651152

Sold The CG Dream The Experience With CG Dream Did Not Go Well
CG Dream As An Bike Is Definitely More Pleasurable In Riding
But This Thread Is About The Reliability Of Engine I Have Now Used
All Atlas Honda Engines I Bought CG Dream To Check The 4 Gear CG
Engine Could Not Made My Mind For CG Classic Instead Decided To Go
For Its New Shape CG Dream Which Is Having Exactly Same Engine As CG Classic

I Have Doubts On CG Engine As This Is The Engine That I See Mostly Opened
At Mechanics And Most Most Of Them Very New Engines Some Brand New
I Bought The Used Bike 1800km Driven Bike Was In Very Good Condition So
The Engine I Drove It Around 14,500km And Now I Was Noticing Loss Of Smoothness
In Engine It Was Producing Extra Vibrations And Extra Tappet Noise And At Speeds
Above 60km/h It Was Not Smooth Bike Felt Heavy Though It Was Achieving Same Top
Speeds So Bike Was Giving Signs Of Lost Performance & Smoothness

I Took Care Of Bike Very Well Changed Oil At 1000km (Owner's Manual Say 2000km) And Was
Regularly Tuned From Honda Antenna Mechanic Every 2000km And Centrifugal Oil Filter Was
Cleaned At 10,000km Other Issues That I Hated Was Oil Leakage From Tachometer Cable From
Beginning Replaced The Oil Seal 3 Times But Leakage Was Their And Also Oil Seepage From Tappet
Cover Never Gone Stains Always Appear Replaced Tappet Cover Seal 2 Times No Gain

People Are Crazy About CG125 As For As Its Performance Is Concerned It Does Generates
Impressive Power Which Gives Very Good Acceleration & Top Speeds Its Even Faster Than
5 Gear OHV Deluxe Top 100-110km/h Is Achievable Only Struggles When There Is Opposite
Wind. Smoothness It Lacks After The Changes It Is Smoother Than Previous 2011 Models
Negligible Knocking Less Vibrations But Still Gear Shifting Process Is Not Smooth In 1st & 2nd
Gear You Will Listen Kir Kir Noise And Other Cons As i Said Above And I Call It Dirty Engine
You Will Find Oil Leakages & Stains All Over Engine From Tappet Cover & Tachometer Cable
Also Engine Breather Pipe. Talking About Reliability As I Have Mentioned Above This Is The Engine
That I Have Seen Mostly Opened At Mechanics And Most Most Of Them Are Very New So I Had
Doubts On Its Reliability Bought The Bike Took Very Well Care Of It But Still It Started To Loose
Its Performance And Asking For Work It Covered 14,500km Which Is Not Sufficient Its Even Less
Than Claimed Atlas Honda Warranty Period Which Is 3 Years Or 20,000km And Those Bikes I
Have Seen At Mechanics Were Very Less Driven You Would Not Believe Almost 10 CG's I Have
Seen At Honda Antenna Mechanic With Odo Less Than 100km And Many With Mileage Below 1k & 5k
If We See History Of This OHV Engine It Was Built By Honda To Face The Tough Use Well May Be That
CG125 Was Tough But The CG125 Today We Are Getting From Atlas Honda Atleast In My View Is Not
Tough Bike This Bike Needs Care And Soft Hand Else You Will Be Soon At Mechanic's Shop

I Think I Should Mention Here As Some One Might Ask, As There Was Sudden Effect On Performance Of
Bike I Got The Bike Tuned From Honda Antenna Mechanic Two Times And Tried Another Mechanics As
Well All The Nuts And Bolts Were Firmly Tight But There Was No Improvement Extra Vibration Extra Tappet
Noise Felt In Engine And Same Bike Felt Heavy These Seemed Signs Of Worn Out Clutch Plates And Also
Worn Out Push Rods May Be

In The End So This Was My Experience With CG125 Engine Many May Not Agree With It And May Be There
CG's Proved Reliable But I Had This Feeling Against CG Engine I Bought Used It With Care But It Disappointed
Me So My Doubt Proved Right And In My Eyes Looking At My Personal Experience & Amount Of CG's
I Have Spotted At Mechanics In My View Its Not Reliable Or Durable Engine

a used ybr is an option but i don't want to buy it there is no service shop
nor any spare part availability in area
    and also insane expensive parts
and reviews like missing lack of power

don't like deluxe very expensive nothing new in bike performance is not good
cg dream is not option after last experience might try in future one more time
my mode is little towards pridor but its soft rear suspension had disturbed me alot
so eventually i might end up leaving decision to my brother and he likes 70cc and
he is suggesting cd dream or cd

Yes brother that is very common and annoying noise yes its beyond understanding
why atlas honda has not bothered to resolve this issue and you will find not many
complaining about this issue they treat it as its normal in 125cc

Brother, as you have alot of experience now regarding the bikes of Atlas Honda, Whenever i talked to any mechanic regarding the Cg Euro 2 model, they simply turns their heads into a BIG NO !!!
on further query they say two things (most common)
Sir ais mein Head ka masla hai aur back firing ka. Aap ka bike 1 1.5 yrs mein kharab ho jaye ga (keeping in mind that you are extremely careful), they suggested me to buy any used model upto 2012, the series before euro 2.
Then when i shared my experience regarding cd 100 model 2010 with odo meter 25K, they say market nai hai par personally i feel that the previous generation of cd 100 before pridor was a better bike.

Engine is not the culprit here the bike you bought is. CG's engine is one tough engine. You had problems maybe because previous owner didn't perform a proper break in procedure or it was not tuned properly. CG Dreams is a bad choice. You should have bought CG Deluxe. Plus you wasted all your money on buying gaskets and seals again and again. All you needed was one silicone sealant. 100 rupees for a regular tube and that's it! Uploaded a picture of my CG's engine breather pipe. I had applied silicone and 0 seepage as you can see in the picture. And for other areas where seepage builds up silicone is the answer. GS-150 ka seepage issue nai dekha apne abhi tak it's a nightmare.

Even current CD100 named Pridor 100 also reliable i bought and used it for 1.5 years
20k on odo and it was running very fine fellow Racer7 rode his pridor 36k with only
sprocket change after 30k else everything was stock in his bike

oil seepage is better than this solution when i ever i talked with honda
mechanic for silicon for tappet cover he said its not good it will leak ruin even more
after watching pictures you have shared i guess he was very right about silicon

next i might end up with 70cc

don't like deluxe very expensive nothing new in bike performance is not good
cg dream is not option after last experience might try in future one more time
my mode is little towards pridor but its soft rear suspension had disturbed me alot
so eventually i might end up leaving decision to my brother and he likes 70cc and
he is suggesting cd dream or cd
Yamaha ke parts boht costly hain, meri YBR ka rubber pad vibration ki waja se kahin gir gya, main ne booklet mein sab dealers ko fone kiya lekin kisi k pass avail nahi tha, sab kehtay itney mehngay parts hain koi stock mein nahi rakhta koi paisay block nahi karta, jo cheez chaiye order pe mangwa dein gey, Muffler 14K, Visor complete set 18K, aur chotti chotti chezain to avail he nahi, mechanics ke pass proper tool kit nahi, wo honda kit sey hi yamaha ka bhi operation karte hain, koi fault aajaye to wahi typical JUGAAR lagate hain sab mechanic, agar lag jaye to theek verna customer janey or uski bike, Yamaha ko chaiye wo apne service dealers ki monthly basis pe atleast 1 training zarur ley aur phir inko certificates bhi day, rahi power ki baat to Honda 125 ki power yamaha 125 say ziada hai, missing issue yamaha mein hay or ye aisa bura issue hai ke hum jaisa crazy bike lover is issue say tang aa ke fed up ho ke bike he baich daita hai

why atlas honda has not bothered to resolve this issue and you will find not many
complaining about this issue they treat it as its normal in 125cc
It is standard noise in E2 models

on further query they say two things (most common)
Sir ais mein Head ka masla hai aur back firing ka. Aap ka bike 1 1.5 yrs mein kharab ho jaye ga (keeping in mind that you are extremely careful), they suggested me to buy any used model upto 2012, the series before euro 2.
Then when i shared my experience regarding cd 100 model 2010 with odo meter 25K, they say market nai hai par personally i feel that the previous generation of cd 100 before pridor was a better bike.
Non euro series was best in both CG & CD - no noise at all smooth bikes
Main tay Honda ee lay saa'n !!!
