    Default CG 125 Durability

    Hi there!
I wanted to ask about the durability of CG125 2013 model nd onwards as i own a 13 model nd within these 3 years n couple of months my bike started burning Engine Oil
First it was asked to replace ring challay as traces of oil was found under the magnet coil.....it was okay
But the same thing happned again as it consumed a whole litre of Engine Oil in just 25 days nd now i had to replace the ring piston.....piston was loose with weak rings....said the mechanic....
I dont race or wheel.....sometimes go on full throttle.. No rough riding or overloading
Can anyone tell what could be the possible reason?
    Further questions are also welcome

Which oil you are using? From where you get it tuned/serviced?

I have 2014 model 125 euro 2. I am third owner. And i got it at oddometer of 19000km. Now its at 29460 km.

I had the same problem. It used to eat engine oil no matter whoch company oil i used. I used Havoline, shell, liquimoly (mostly). But my good mechanic (may Allah increase his ranks in Jannat) opened half of the head in a way nobody can say it has been opened.

And fixed the problem. Ring piston bore desi lagaya kharafiyay say waghera. Now it doesn't eat even a mili liter of engine oil.

I dot know why piston starts to eat oil. But i and my good mechanic keep my bike very very well maintained.

    Hope it helped.

I paid 3000. That time some 6 months ago.

Explain opening half the head ?? Was the head sliced into two ?? i am sure there must be a cut somewhere ??
How can you say nobody can tell ??

Jokes apart the procedure you described is employed by everyone who gets headwork done the head and the cylinder are removed and the way the jain is installed back is a giveaway that headwork has been done.... if u dont want bore the other safe option is to go for new cylinder worth Rs1800....So your mechanic(may Allah increase his ranks in Jannat) didnt do anything special.

Btw u just mentioned his demise first and than this "
i and my good mechanic keep my bike very very well maintained"
seems like present tense to me........so which one is it....

Guy's sorry for spoiling the thread..
I just wanted to know that can i swap a Ravi piago 125 engine into Honda CG125(2009). Any negative impacts of doing this. My previous engine has given up it now needs a complete overhaul including its gear box and all the internal bearings, etc.... Kindly tell me spending on this engine would be wise or i can change it with something better as i am also fed up with vibrations of this engine.. I do not have enough budget at this time as i just bough this bike 3 months ago as a noob and i am just robbed i purchased the wrong bike by my wrong decision. 😔

Edit: This was posted by my friend using my PW account.
    Anyways suggestions are welcome.!

Show him this to leave him in imagination..

    CG 125 Durability -1683147

    CG 125 Durability -1683148

PS. putting a abused local Zongshen engine would be a very bad idea.. paiggio engines are use and scrapable engines..

No parts are not a problem any more and besides it inherits 90% from CG and 10% from sazgar so that is not issue

Yes, it absolutely sounds like CG with CG exhaust, I would say even better with deeper and crispy base Thump..

No its not a bolt on - plus one cannot remove tappet cover once fitted (requires a workaround) also front Cowling with four Bolts has to be adjusted for new engine with different placement of mounts..

Above Ride is owned by @vickytulla.

So according to this a normal mechanic cannot fit this engine in CG frame... One needs a expert mechanic and a good healthy engine....
Would you please like to mention what kind of mounts are to b made...
If in case tappet cover has to b opened then engine needs to b de attached from the frame.?
    What about vibrations..?

If the vibrations decrease then i might also b interested in doing this swap... Alterations are not a problem for me.... I can manage that hassle..

1 - Nah, even you can fit that R.piaggio engine in your cg, I swapped mine in a middle of a night just for fun..

2 - You dont need to make mounts but you have to widen the front cowl holes a little same will work.. I used a Drill machine with a Grinder tip.

3 - Yes thats the bad part one has to lower the engine, so I did a work around to use a slim tappet cover of another china bike, even you can use ur CG's cover both are ditto copy.

4 - Vibrations are reduced by 25% no more..

You might do wiring carefully and not get your CDI busted.

@hassantahir2 besides I will also advise you not to go for an old lousy used up Ravi Piaggio engine, I am using a brand new engine and that is the only reason its is giving me so much fun... I remember when we placed a used but repaired engine in a Hero 125 and it was total failure.
