Default How to start a brand new CG Honda Deluxe

    AoA,
Please help. This is my first Honda CG 125 experience. The bike was purchased brand new and has been in show room for a while. Now when I start it I have to first open the choke full and then it starts. Then after several minutes when I close the choke the bike engine shuts down. Any suggestions? I did 20km and even then when I close the choke the engine shuts off.

Go back to the dealer you bought it from and get it tuned

    I think it's called
U need to hold full throttle and kick start it ,
Most likely first few kicks will sound like burping but as soon as it fires up, hold the full throttle for few seconds only and then let go the throttle and see if the idle is maintained and do raise the idle screw a little on it carb.
Let us know what was the outcome.!!
    Do this procedure without choke.

Thanks post911. Your advice worked. The engine started on full throttle but it did not hold idle. I think I will take it to a mechanic to fix the idle screw as I have no clue how to do it.

Don't go to any ordinary mechanic go to honda warranty mechanic in your city
Don't worry it is not big problem at all it will just need one ot two turns of idle screw
and bike will get required patrol from carburetor idle speed would increase so it would
    not stall or shut down

As u said its brand new bike,
So just go through the user manual and u will find the spot where idle screw lies in carb,
And which way to turn it for increase or decrease the idle.
    Cheers.
