Thread: Cg 125 deluxe speed problem

    Default Cg 125 deluxe speed problem

    Hi everyone. My cg deluxe has now clocked 450km on odo. I did my first oil change today, the problem is now as it has done 450kms I want to increase its speed of running. Till now was running at 50kph max. I tried today to accelerate more to get through 60kph but the engine is struggling too hard to get 60kph and it seems like there is no speed left to accelerate more, I sold my 70cc bike because of its low performance and fuel was not concerned I wanted performance but now I am thinking yaar 80 kph to wo bhi aram se chali jaati thi. and the other 70cc riders on the road get past through me on the roads. What could be the issue?

    I guess OHV engines scream and vibrate more than OHC engine's. So it normal but don't try to ride it hard for first 1000 km. After 1000 km get its air fuel mixture adjusted and valve adjustment then you will feel better.!
    Just keep on following break-inn procedures.

    Wait for Expert opinions.!

    after 500 try it hard these's are new bikes they don't need running....500 is enough just to make customer satisfy
    as much as i know 100 to 110 is top speed of deluxe so surely it will take time to reach 90 km/h

    but the manual says 1000 kms. other running procedures are not mentioned. I am sick of riding at 50kph now

    When you cross 500km change the engine oil (I know everyone says after 1k but these engine oils are not as pure as we think)

    Also I notice every time when it reaches 60kph the rpm needle goes to 6.5k rpm and when its at 7k rpm the speed is just slightly above 60kph. i do not understand how will I get a top speed of 100. rpm meter he khatam hojaega and at 7k rpm engine screams to shift the gear or to leave the throttle

    You have two choices now modify engine and get better performance or sale it and get a cg classic

    Ohv engine dont vibrate abnormally but cg engine does thanks too cam design of cg one lobe too operate two valves

    Basic design is same but due to minor tweaks deluxe actually have better torque figure but the weight and bigger tyre kills deluxe performance

    I think it will start performing after 1000kms mark and after its first tune up

    In first 1000km tappets are set a bit losse and mixture a bit rich to avoid any chance of heat up issue you might actually losse a bit of performance after first time up

    Bro Do u have any idea how excesivly ur 125 will viberate at 100kmph nd how unsafe it is to ride this honda's 80's frame ?

    Anyway dont mess with bike too much until 1k km.
