Default Honda 125 Deluxe New Chain Price Check

    Hi,

I have a Honda 125 Deluxe 2012 model. My chain broke. I was going to get the chain repaired, but the chain has gone missing, and I will need to buy a new one.

Can anyone advise me on the price of a new chain for my motorcycle?

Can someone with experience also tell me if the chain used on the plain Honda 125 is the same as the chain used on the Honda 125 deluxe?

    All input is greatly appreciated.

By sprocket you mean garariyan? Is it possible to get the chain only from somewhere? My sprokect are 100% OK. I don't want to spend so much money and I don't drive the motorcycle often as I work from home and money is tight.

When i spoke to the honda dealer I got the bike from, he told me I have tgo buy the complete set which was chain + sprocket and he told me it was 1750.

Do I have any other options?

    Solution
its best to change complete set .

if you only change chain then the sprocket(garari) will wear faster then normal and in the end you will have to change socket before even reaching it end of service life

in pass when i changed the sprocket but kept old chain , it only lasted 3-4 month cause old chain caused sprocket to wear extremly fast due to been stretched to overcame that chain had to be over tight and it contribute to the wear of sprocket

you can check other stores/brands for chain with 120 link.

better spend one time rather then spending again on same thing

Thank you very much for this detailed reply.

I understand your point about wear and tear on the sprocket, and how it is a good idea to have the amount of wear and tear to be equivalent on both sprocket and chain so they both reach their end of life together.

However, I have a Honda 125 Deluxe of 2011, and it has only 2000 kms on it. I work from home, don't drive it much, and for only short distances to the shops. So in 5 years, I've only driven it 2000 kilometers.

I believe The chain link broke because the chain was rubbing up against the chain cover which was slightly bent inwards maybe because of a kick or dent, which I had fixed by getting the chain cover fixed and the chain tightened up a bit.

Having read the above, would you still recommend I get the full chain and sprocket set?

    Thanks again for your help.

its completely on you. if u wanna change or not.

but if it break while ridding motorcycle could result in serious damage to you and you motorcycle ,saving 1000-1750 rs could result in spending over 10000 on medical and motorcycle repairing...

i rarely seen anyone not falling from motorcycle after chain breaks.

i suggest change it , why take risk for something thats cheap to replace.

and once you change your sprocket set make sure you lube it every 500km or 1-2 week to reduce wear and increase life.

tank is bigger (12 liter capacity )
frame is bigger, 3 people can easily fit without rider to sit on tank.
silenicer is held by steel piece which alone weight like 5-6kg.
rear tyre is heavier and wider then normal cg which gives also increases height.
    headlight cowling alone weight 4-5kg
battery is used bigger if its self start version
rear jumps(suspension) is bigger and better.
engine weight slightly more due to bigger magnet used which have selfstart gear and ratchet system to disengage starter , starter assembler .

this is most noticeable difference i found between both.
