    Hi guys
    i have a 1972 honda cb350k4 (http://www.100megsfree4.com/honda/h0300/cb350k4.jpg)

    i have just modded my bike with a specially made kit that i got from the uk
    its a step above the CDi unit
    its called an Electronic Ignition Kit
    the prinicpal is the same that the points are taken out of the equation but instead of putting in a capacitor discharge system...an optical rotarty unit is put on the cam head so that light switches inside it switch with the rotation and hence provide the pulse needed

    so anyway, the kits installed and has the bike running...but one of the coils isnt genuine and i am therefore looking for a genuine / original coil

    @UmerM

    I m not sure that u can find genuine one but a good replacement shudnt be a problem & can be found easily.

    BTW can u post some details pics of job as i wana know that how u intstalled that optical snesor on CAM ?

    well id try and find an original if i can..u know
    and certainly..ill get some pics up as soon as i can
    if i had known i would have taken some this evening when i was at the electricians (the bike is still there..waiting for a coil)
    its very simple really...but to try to explain it in words would be almost impossible...altho once u see it working..its simplicity itself..i have posted a link of the kit in my first post and the round thing goes inside the cam, replacing the points..in easy terms :
    there is a plastic ring in the shape of half a moon which goes on top of the rotary...and hence moves with it
    therefore you have a right / left motion of that moon-disc..the disc in doing so...moves in and out of 2 optical sensors placed at both ends of the disc...hence turning the sensors on and off..which in turns provides perfect timing for the coils to hit the spark plugs and the rest u know....
    well like i said...its easier to look and understand than explain
    but i am going to get some pics and also a video of the thing working very soon..promise!

    heres the video guys
    i also got 2 nice clean carburetors coz one of the earlier ones was leaking fuel...something to do with the float not sitting properly
    i should have the bike in a few days with me and then i will get a better camera to make a high quality video of it revving
    it is unbelievable how this kit has transformed this bike
    the revs are thru the roof!!!!
    the sound has changed completely after this kit..its a proper racing kit u see

    Congrats man. CB 350 is a superb bike
