Default AC service charges at Honda workshops

Well, summer's peak is upon us.

My AC ain't cooling as good as it was last year. There are no issues with it, just needs a full service, seeing how the weather is here in Karachi.

Nearly blew my top off when the guy at the Honda showroom/workshop said it's Rs. 5,700.

I mean, for real?? He said this includes everything: labor, service, gas recharge.

WTF amigos?!! A little steep, ain't it?

    It's a 2004 Civic.

i was told 7,800 at Toyota 3S for service and gas recharge for SE saloon 2005. So Honda is considerably cheaper.

Interesting, some of the responses I've read thus far...

It looks like I have no choice but to get it done at Honda. Here's hoping the guy does at least a 45-min vacuum before recharge, if not a full hour.

And, here's also hoping service and recharge improves cooling during the day.

As for the regular AC wallas, 8 times out of 10 they will try to pull a fast one on you; replacing parts that don't need replacing or screwing something up so that you DO end up replacing a part or two... shmucks!

At least at Honda, if you've been going there a while and have a rapport with them, they'll just do what you ask and hopefully, trained technicians will be performing the task!

Try Sabir. Far better than honda for he is an educated @ work unlike jahilz @ honda who learn by observing from their hadharam ustaad who were trained by honda atlas decades ago.
