Default Santro Club Hi RPM problem

The RPM of my Santro club is really very high. I think the RPM should be around 750 rpm but my car's RPM are about 1100.

Is this because of any censor or any other issue and whta's the best place to go for solving the issue(Mechanic/Workshop/Hyundai Showroom) ?

Are you talking about idle RPM?
Are there any accessories that are turned on when you are observing higher RPM?

this is a very common problem, you need to remove the whole inlet manifold and wash it and especially the idle motor itself.. If you are shy to remove the B1tchy manifold just remove the idle motor and wash it with carb cleaner - and apply oil to it, it will start to function, also while at it, check the coolant temp sensor wiring if its crusted or broken off

the inlet manifold is the 4 branch solid thing that feeds the engine with fresh air after the throttle has let it in, The idle control motor is the little 3 pin motor that allows extra air in the manifold to let it idle properly - its can be above the throttle body or near the 1st cylinder branch of the inlet manifold in a santro.

btw im in Karachi - cant say about Lahore - no offense but of all the lahore cars that were shipped to me for repairs had weird jobs on them.

My santro 2004's rpm is also very high .. I will be InshaAllah going for a computerised tunning where I'll be reducing it..Last time while tunning the mec did reduce it but as I had just purchased it so was not familiar with its rpm so I codnt inform him of reducing it a bit more.. Well it all cost rs 150 only included is plugs n air filter cleaning + computerised tune ups...
Try this 1st it will InshaAllah help n u'll nt need any big works of thousands...
