    Default Cam Sensor Santro

Want to know if this is the original one or after market.
some days back bought same with different label(written in white) but that was not detected by hyundai scanner. will get this replaced today and will update the progress.

problem was missing on patrol as some threads already created but got no solution for this as everything has been done.

The cam sensor tells the computer where your cam is in it's rotation. The info is used to determine spark timing and fuel delivery. if it's bad, you'll run rough or not at all. Vehicles with distributors will sometimes integrate thet sensor with the distributor. Otherwise, it will be located near the cam.

When this sensor fails on your santro, no.2 and no.3 cylinders will not work on petrol (no fuel). Its located on the end of the head.

This same part is also on Suzuki Baleno same location same purpose.

This is also used in mitsubishi engines/transmissions

    @Xulfiqar
    thanx for reply.
what would be the other reason for missing on patrol even after changing the cam sensor, missing is there in slow speed, not feel in higher gears like 3, 4, but in fist and second it gives jerks and in idle condition rpm remains smooth.
this problem is only on patrol, on cng its ok.

your issue can be pointed to
    incorrect fuel pump pressure
    clogged injectors
    coated/oily MAP/IAT

remove the inlet manifold and have it washed out - remove injectors and have them cleaned out too

    fuel pump ok
    map/iat cleaned
    only injectors remain for test.
dont you think it may be timing belt issue....... as i had recently changed my timing belt to not original one but of after market one due to emergency on the way.
