Salam 2 all. I recently got a 2005 model Santro. It was doing well untill i changed the air filter. It runs well on petrol but when i switch it over to cng, after some time, the cover of the air filter opens with a patakh sound and the car refuses to move. I changed the air filter with a genuine one along with the air filter cover. But still the same occurs. Someone told me that the problem might b with the settings of cng. Plz help me out.
check the coils, its called a backfire, mostly the cause is the shortage in coils, plus get cng setting and to check the plugs, but the coils shud b the priority.
Thanx, point noted. btw, the plugs were examined and they r fine.
bump
then coils is the masla
i had same problem with my vitz.Actually when i installed CNG in it then it shifts to pertol at around 3000RPM automatically so i contacted the installer to reduce the conversion RPM and he did this by connecting two coils with a wire. After some days the misfire started and burned the airfilter.I have consulted many installers but everyone has different opinion like servicing throttle body, change of spark plugs and finally they said that the one coil is leaking current so it has to be changed. But one day i myself remove the cable that was connecting the two coils and so the problem resolved but i have to service the throttle body and changed all the spark plugs for nothing.May be you have the same case.
