Default ENERCON advice replacing Santro plug wires

today i have visited ENORCON Islamabad for CNG tuning, and my car's RPM was fluctuating around 1850 RPM constantly between 1800-1900.

he did not tune my engine rather he told me to change plug wires, so i want to know is it good to change plug wires? and if yes then should i go for performance wires or stock one?

what will be the price for santro plug wires? as i did not buy any wires yet. and this is my first car.

    experts please help.

    Thanks

Did he check the plug wires with a help of meter?
These wires have some specific resistance and you need to replace them when their resistance is increased beyond prescribed limit.

    nonsense and bul#hit!
most shade tree mechanics here assume that 4 tip makes 4 sparks so overload or stresses the coil and wire this is crap knowledge!
4 tips only ensure that spark occurs from ANY 1 of the tips and the plug doesnt misfire during load / performance..go ahead with bosch 4 tip platinums..

Now, you should change your mechanic!

If you really need to change plug wires, you can replace with Ultima Sports 8mm (yellow one). It will cost you around Rs. 800 to 1000
Bosch 4 tips are fine, you can keep using them. Though it will not really boost up the performance at all, but still are better in other terms.

My experience with ENERCON G10 Islamabad is also not good.
They say that we have all sorts of computerized equipment, they should have checked the plug wires resistance.

ENERCON's mechanics are morons! Same is the case here in LHR. ENERCON became popular here in LHR because one man named Yasim but he has left them and started his own setup. All the other ENERCON mechanics simply don't know anything at all regarding tuning.
My understanding dictates that all the plugs of the same heat range and same core material will draw exactly the same amount of current through the plug wires so the scenario of plug wires getting heat-up due to one specific plug is out of question. Though plug wires do deteriorate with time as the resistivity per unit length does not remain uniform so replacing them is a good practice. However, replacing stock plug wires with after-market, performance wires will ensure a better conductance of the current as compared to the stock wires. Hence the idle rpm of the car will be much more stable. These are just my two cents and experts are welcome to correct me.
One question from the experts: Do 5-heat range platinums draw the same amount of current as compared to 5-heat range copper plugs?

mechanic said 4 tip plugs have over burdened the wires?
    LMFAO..
4 tip dont means they carry 4 times the spark,it means it has four hands to catch the spark, the BEST hand catches the spark every time so the spark goes thru wire is same as single tip..

STP is usually not worth it.....a bottle will cost your around Rs. 250-300. Whereas Liquimoly service is close to Rs. 1000. But that's not as simple pour-in-the-tank solution...they hook up their gadgets to the injectors and disconnect the fuel lines from the tank...the complete process will take around half an hour....i myself has not experienced but talked to a liquimoly chap some long time ago...call this number 0345-5912364 051-2823016. they are located near China Chowk, Poly clinic.
