    Exclamation Santro 2005 electrical problem

guys i have santro 2005 and from the few days it is giving me a weird problem which i think is linked with the electrical system of the car.

when i put the key in the ignition all lights pops up normal in the cluster but when i try to ignite the car the become dead like a car without a battery. whereas i have a new battery in my car, just a month old.

few days back it was happening rare like once a month but from yesterday the car is not starting and doing samething on everytime i try to start the car so i have to push start the car. one more problem is that now i think the fuel pump is also making weird sound, zooooooooom zoooooooooom like its constantly energizing.

i will take the car to mechanic today but i need to get some idea about who could be possibly the culprit. ignition system, fuel pump of anything else.

I had a similiar problem in my Santro 2005. Upon further checking, the battery terminal was found loose. The matter was resolved upon thightening the terminal.

however, i think that your problem is somewhere else. Please also check if some minor thing is not left open always like trunk light, etc.

problem diagnosed and resolved successfuly. the culprit was the new battery whose cells getting short from inside. replaced it within warranty and now the car is working fine. secondly that zooom zzoooom sound was not from the fuel pump it was the rare wiper which was operational and making that sound, the reason we never got to know about it was because the wiper is not installed in it.
