Default gear oil leakage from Santro reverse gear switch

    hii
two weeks back i changed my Santro Club's reverse switch, now gear oil is dripping from the switch....(leakage is very slow and in very little quantity)
i took it back to mechanic he applied Magic paste to stop the leakage...after a day leakage started again...
what can be the possible reason?? broken seals or anything else??? and what is the proper cure???

@Hashforu...may be u r right brother...though i almost always go for good quality parts...but who knows i might have been duped into buying 2nd grade switch...!!!
another opinion is that perhaps the mechanic forgot to place a washer between the switch and gearbox case...hence the leakage..
but my own idea is that the mechanic had over-tightened and cracked the switch (or worse still, the seals)...hence the leakage...will know for sure when i take the car to workshop on this weekend InshaAllah...!!!

^^î presume there is a joint seal between soket and switch, check if u find it,remove the switch check it.

^^êxactly that was the reason i asked if it had any joint seal.

i'd say ur mechanic is an idiot and he didnt install it right.
p.s magic never cures leaks for more than a day or 2.
