Default Santro - Sound from Gear - Urgent

    Dear Fellows,

    Need your urgent help.

My Santro has very annoying and loud voice from gear. Through gear is smooth in switching but sound keep coming on first, second and third gear and natural. However, sound disappear when I press the clutch or move the car in fourth gear.

My mechanic told me that it is due to faulty Clutch Bearing and Clutch/Pressure plate. He changed both today but this didn't fix the problem. Now, he said Gear Box is faulty and should be changed as repair will not fix it.

I am now totally confused what should I do.

    Please help...

    Thanks,

It is due to faulty bearing of input or counter shaft.Get the gear box opened and replaced faulty bearings.

You are absolutely right. Problem was only "low gear oil". I wasted lots of money for opening gear box and fooled by mechanics.

The mechanic has replaced clutch and pressure plate n clutch bearing. I believe he must have checked transmission oil. If not, check it. Is it like a little knocking sound (like tak tak tak)???? And it disappears when clutch is depressed? If these are the symptoms change the top bearing of ur transmission (gear box).
