Default Santro 2003 decreasing water in radiator

    aoa
i have santro club 2003. i have observed dat every morning i have to add about half a cup of water to radiator to top it up. i suspected leakage from radiator so got it flushed and checked for leaks. found a minor leak n got it sealed but still the problem persists. engine is too good, no loss of power, car is excellent in every other aspect. somebody suggested that there might b a problem with gasket....need expert opinion.no oil mixed in radiator, no bubbles .....wat might be the problem n how to get it rectified???

.. radiator cap has a spring loaded pressure release sys .. either this is not functional
.. or you don't have a water bottle and a pipe attached to it
.. or your pipeline is leak

    +1
on first & 3rd diagnosis. bad radiator-cap is mostly the cause for minor loss of water like this case.

By the way, sometimes the escape of water/coolant from cooling system can really make one's head go nuts.
I am facing an identical situation. I serviced my radiator, changed radiator cap, however, everyday there is still some loss of water (half a glass) from the reservoir bottle. Car is running fine, good economy, no oil trace in radiator, no smoke from exhaust except minor smoke for a few minutes during cold starts in harsh winters (december/ january). The loss of water remains unaccounted for.

Get a good quality radiator-cap. DO NOT buy a second hand piece from junkyard, no matter what. Original Santro Club's radiator-cap is available at around Rs. 400~500.
