if changing only 2 install it at front... max weight is at front and those are the tires which get worn out soon and regular practice who drive alone to work and home rotate tires back to front and front to back after some 25k kms because due to less weight the rear once will have more thread than front...

if you are doing only 2 then install it on the front bro

i already have the 170/55 tires.i dun need to buy this size.so there is no harm in using 2 different types of tyres i-e 155/70 at the front and 170/55 at rear else having bad fuel economy.am i rite?this practice is also temporary (un-availability of tyres) Any suggestions plz.

No it won't hurt the fuel economy.
If u have 4 tyres of the same size than go for all four because the 175 55 r13 is 1.2 cm smaller in height so it would be better that u have all four or if u don't then change ur tyres as soon as possible.
