    Default Best Oil and Oil filters for a Hyundai Santro

    Salam.

    Please recomend best engine oil and oil filter for Hyundai Santro Club.

    Engine history::

    Head has been repaired.
    ODO 150400 KMs
    Engine not reducing oil
    Currently using Zic A+
    Engine Oil filter:: Don't know what its name is.

    Whats your remarks on that??
    Changing at less than 5000 km is simply a waste of oil. With a decent brand oil filter, and regularly checking the PCV valve you can go upto 10k km on this car. If you drive mainly in stop and go traffic, for extremely short trips, 5000 km will be better..

    For the air filter, get it regularly air blasted. Check it at every oil change, and only replace it if it seems necessary. There's really no need to replace it at 4000 km.

    Sure I'll avoid this practice immediately and secondly can u tell me where is this PCV valve actually located ??

    Options & prices are as below

    10W-40
    ZIC A 2500
    Total 2480
    Kixx 2400
    Performa 2390
    Shell HX5 2100
    Liuqi Moly 3000
    Liqui Moly 4000 (MOS2)

    Better filters are available in Market than Guard ones.
