most pathetic car i have ever driven.
hello AOA ppl!!!
i am a owner of santro club 2004 met grey colour. i sold my 87 FX to buy it in march this yr and here is my experience. its overall a average car it was 13000km driven when i bought it and since the day i bought it i remeber my good old FX and regret my decision of selling tht in favour of this.
santro has a very nice AC, smooth drive but thts abt it it has pathetic pathetic grip the steering is like turning a bus (dont know abt the power one) the fuel average is not good i wonder where all those MPFI ECU's sensors and management programmes go, theres no big fuel economy even on the long runs even on sng its running cost is 2rs/km , the engine over revs while idling and the gears often make noise at shifting. The repairs are extremely expensive. i happened to crash it once due to general tyres, although it was a minute hit with just a little bend in the bonnet and no frame bending etc the dealership gave me a bill of 11000 for replacing the bonnet and 6000 for repair phewwwwww. and in the end my desi mechanic my Allah give him prosperity repaired it without damaging the original paint for 2000 rupees.
u cant get the engine bay cleaned with water cause there is a big note there please donot use fluid for cleaning
the car is crammy from the inside back seats have not enough leg room.
in all i ve not liked the car very much although i tried to like it by changing tyres with super radials etc etc but the drive has never been extraordinary.
i am considering to sell it and buy a new QQ now its up for sale 5,40,000. its in the ads

i am here for the right reasons. I own one and i have become a fan.

bro! you are comparing an FX with a Santro?? Santro is much much better than even Cultus or Alto. The drive is excellent. Its grip is as impressive as a sedan car. It handles pretty good, the steering is much better than a VXL Cultus. The car is fun to drive, you cannot compare its handling and drive with any car in its class.
Yes, there always are one or two bad things in every car. Santro s cramped inside. Even a Mehran has more space inside, you cannot seat 3 grown-ups on the back seat. And probably because of the aftermarket CNG that it isnt giving me the performance that I want.
Everything else is all to praise for. The car is ultra reliable. It has done 65000kms and it has never had any problems not even the most sliightest. I just had to change the tires a month ago. That is it.

agreed good reliability average grip but steering in the club model is way way too heavy for anythin like a 1000cc car try it urself and yes brother have u ever driven a well maintaned and original FX honestly try tht too and u ll agree with me there is nothing compared to a drive of FX provided its kept like it shd be.
whts the fuel average of ur car?
in handling its got a lot of understeer and during braking its not a stable chasis.
hello i have Santro GV 2006 model i just driven 7400 KM most of which are driven in petrol i am the most angriest person it wasted my hell amount of very precious time and hell amount of precious money when i just drove about first 50 KM i went to ask procedure of getting rid of it now this time at 7400KM its was gone for repairing and i am not considering of taking back to home i am ready to bear any expense possible but i wont be driving single KM Pray for me i get rid of this one.
As it has no pick even with petrol what happen this time is that i have pressed race pedal and leave the cluutch and car goes cruch cruch cruch and it was towed with 6 years old car to the jail road lahore can any one guess the repairing cost I BET YOU CANT !!!. and you will never believe of leaving that cluch pedal costs me even if I tell
i have Santro Club 2003. my experience is as under:
1. Very Very hard steering even with normal tyres 55/60/13.
2. In city pathatic fuel economy, but on long routes it gives around 18km/L (excellent)
3. No road grip.
4. Excellent A.C
5. Smooth Drive with no engine noise.
6. Good Interior.
7. Not enogh leg room on back seat. Also back seat is not comfortable.
9. Pathatic pickup.

the steering wheel is very very much hard.
the car has very good controlling.
i did 160 kms/h in rain on last saturday on the motorway.
far better than cultus.
but i ahve also come to a problem.

i recently bought a santro GV CLUB.
its about 3 k kms driven.
yesterday when i parked my car in my garage the car
was running ok on cng.even with out using the race pedal.
but today when i tried to start the car on CNG today
the car did not start.the car starts on petrol
and i can convert the car from petrol to CNG manually
but the car cannot even stand idle.
what is the prob.
can any body tell me how to increase the rpm of santro.
