Default Advice needed on Santro GV

    Hi guys,

I have recently bought a brand new Santro GV. For some odd reason, it is giving me just barely over 100 km to a cylinder. I owned a Suzuki Khyber before this and that car gave me around 180-190 kilometers for the same quantity of CNG.

Can someone tell me how I can improve the fuel economy of the car without hindering performance? Anyone who has faced similar issues with their Santros?

Reason 1 : Increase in CNG prices, previously a 55Kg Cylinder used to fill up in around Rs. 185-200 and now the same cylinder fills up in Rs.220-230.

Reason 2 : Santro GV has 3 cylinders of 14 Kg each that makes a total of 42 Kg, your khyber must have had atleast a 50Kg or a 55Kg cylinder.

    sali2002, the car is EFI

Yes, I know that CNG prices have increased that's why I didn't talk in terms of what cost I am incurring for fuel. I talked in terms of the number of kilometers the car goes in one filling.

aridsoul, I know the capacity of khyber was different. It gave me over 200 kilometers for a 50L cylinder. According to this, it was giving me 4 km per L of CNG. Using the same calculations, I would have assumed that my Santro would give me 168 km to one filling. It should be giving ever more because it is EFI and khyber isn't.

    Any suggestions?

ur CNG pressure , just fix it to minimum which also ensures good performance. but that is optimal performance needed for Santro & u won't i know compare it wid Khyber's performance.
I'm struggling to please ALLAH, I'll suggest you do the same.
