    Default Coure or Santro

    I am looking to buy a new car and the shortlist is to Coure and Santro. Just want to get others' opinions that is it worth paying extra about 1.5 lakh to get a Santro instead of Coure....

    salam,
    coure and santro belong to two different classes.
    coure is the best option available in 850 cc and the only too. it gives u full drive cnfidence. excellent grip,braking,suspension and a wonderful a/c.
    if u have to select from 1000cc category . santro has got a good engine but not a very smooth ride and less leg room.
    cultus's ride is also good.
    try to search in the threads u will find a lot of discussions regarding these .
    also if u r not concerned about resle JOY and Revo are also good options.

    If something similar has already been discussed, can you please point me to that.

    For me, resale value is something I am not considering at all as I am planning to keep it for fairly long time. It is just that I was considering buying Coure and someone told me to go for Santro instead. I am not sure exactly what does that extra money buys me. On the face of it, both have almost same room inside. Is it just the extra engine power?

    About Cheverlote Joy that you mentioned, how much easy will its maintainance be? Are parts readily available etc?

    @uahmed,

    If resale is something that you are not considering, then go for a Chevy Joy 1000cc or a Cherry QQ 800cc. No doubt about it.

    Cherry has a much higher bhp to offer than Cuore and rivals almost that of Santro. Plus it's internal cabin width is same as that of Santro's and larger than Joy's.

    Joy has the highest bhp to offer amongst all the locally assembled 1000cc cars. It is second only to Vitz, which is imported. Since it is lihgter than Vitz, it offers more power-to-weight ratio than Vitz. Which means it has a real outstanding acceleration. Furthermore, it is also brand new and without any parts or maintenance issues.

    Both these cars offer much more space than Cuore and cost a lot less than a Santro. But are way better in performance and ride than both Santro and Cuore. Review the brochures available online, on Pakwheels and also on their respective web sites, for the technical specifications and compare all four cars.

    You will realize the difference on paper as well. Cherry offers test-drive. Go evaluate it. I am sure the Nexus people won't deny you a test drive either for the Joy.

    i would go for joy over cuore or santro any day. more interior space and feels like a much larger car when u drive it. i own an exclusive and will soon trade up to a joy as it offers more power than any local car (63HP). santro is 54HP if i'm not mistaken and it shows when u drive it. very sluggish acceleration, much worse than even the cultus with its rough 3 cylinder carbuerated engine (kept 1 for 3 years and car being built now have poor quality compared to the earlier cars after localization). another good thing about the joy is the imported shock absorbers/coil-springs as all local cars have gabriel shocks which last for about 1 year.
    Speed thrills and kills better than anything else.

    @ uahmed
    in my personal opinion JOY is the best among them. though they are not very common but its the best among them .
    has a very smooth ride. as space is concerned i think it offers more than santro or cuore.
    about its spares i think by the time u will be needing them (some 3-4 years after considering its a new car) they will be very abundant. in joy u get good features forthe money u r paying.
    if u want to go for some thing different i think oy is the best .
    if u want to stick with the local usual cars i will advise u cultus.

    brother santro iz the best car in 1000cc category

    u know just two days back i came frm quetta n the road condition waz pathetic seriously

    n i waz on my santro exec i must tell u
    MASHALLAH MASHALLAH under those severe road condition my small beauty went very grace fully

    there were times when i had to pass my car from pasing river
    there waz too much water but my car passed frm tht MASHALLAH
    n yea there waz a slope n i had to go on upward position it waz bad really very hard to even imagine to drive on it but on first gear wid tooo much of acceleration i went on it and passed tht very easily
    n on highway i did 163km/h i hav shown tht pic in other thread



    in short this car is reliable,economical,comfortable
    n if u want luxury as well then go for exec like i did
    just pay 50,000 more n hav those EXTRA'z

    Crap for a Lot of Money, 6 Lacs for Santro=too bad, 4.5 Lacs for Coure=too bad.

    If Santro comes for 5 Lacs=I would say ok, forget that Loaded version etc. Loaded will be for some 7 Lacs... damn, whynot buy a Sedan a similar looking Fat *** Liana for 7.85 Lacs.

    One more thing try out the chinese QQ, its value for money car, fully loaded power everything, you may find yourself a year used QQ for under 4 Lacs, maybe even at 3.5 Lacs. Hint=Never buy a Brand New QQ/Joy and even the famous Santro, they break alot of Cash in a little time, specially these days !

    hmmm even i am confused
    u want to keep it for a long time .. go for efi or electronic engine .... santro, qq, joy
    qq has best options, joy has a GM monogram , santro is over all nice car ..
    if u want cng .. go for santro ff cng only.
    rest all 3 cars are preety good ... in qq i love remote windows
