Is there any body to answer this question please!!
I searched a lot on my gear box and its surrounding parts but I could not find any thing which looked a place for adding gear oil to.
    Thanks

Unfortunately, there is no stick to measure the quantity or quality of gear oil in Santro. You have to open it up and drain the oil to find out the quality.

There is a bolt to bf opened and if gear oil comes out then it is fine. If not then you have to add more untill oil comes out from the place from where you removed the bolt

No. Not the gear box but the bolt (on the passage which is used to fill-in the gear oil ) many cars like cultus have the same system. Once you drain out the gear oil, there is a bolt on one of the walls of gear box, you take it out and pour in the oil, when it is filled the oil starts coming out from the same hole, which means the required oil is filled. Since there is no way out, unlesss your gear box has some leakages which are visible from outside, gear oil remains there and you don't need to check it's level. only thing you need to do is to note the mileage and replace it when it is requred.

i know the thread is old, but to help other members, the bolt is located towards the front-right under the front bumper. downside the AC condenser or the clutch cable.

that would be the drain bolt - the fill bolt is usually on the differential housing, it would be a large 24mm probably bolt - unscrew it, if oil trickles out its full, if it doesnt - stick your finger in there and feel for oil on the bottom level. it should be there, if not get some oil in there - and look for the leak too
