    Hi.

On my way back from murree from motorway i hit a bump and now i am having a sound from the front wheels on crossing 60km/hr . I think its the bearings that are messed up i changed them 6 7 months back and costed me around 1800 each china but i want to go for the originals now . Does anyone has any idea of the cost of new genuine front bearings and should i get both front bearings changed or only one will do the job?

    Regards
    Khan

To make sure its wheel bearings from which you getting sound go to the speed in which you get the sound and shift the gear to neutral and still you hear the sound its wheel bearing..... will be advice able to change both the bearings instead of just the damaged one

Friend, not only petrol but also your CNG mileage is low. I guess you got the FF CNG? Right? minimum it should do around 130km.

What is the tire size on your car? Do you feel the car heavy or it runs smooth? For how long you have been driving this car? do you use 5th gear often? have you washed/cleaned throttle body?.. with low mileage on both CNG and petrol I don't see any problem with the settings...its either tires, your driving style or a bad sensor.

    Hey friends AOA,

I recently own a santro club GV. It's 2006 model and driven up to 1 lakh KM. Over all my experience with Santro is good. But I have facing a problem with mileage on petrol. It's giving me 8 km per liter with AC within city. I have recently changed engine oil (Zic High flow), oil filter, air filter and plugs as well and proper tuned it up. and then I went for computerized setting. They changed one sensor. and set rpm etc with the help of scanner (computer). But it's still giving me the same mileage on petrol. and it's mileage on CNG is almost 90 km per cylinder with AC within city which is good i think. In my opinion it's only petrol setting problem.
Please suggest me a good mechanic in Lahore who can adjust petrol setting well, except "Hyundai Motors Township". They are not efficient enough.

    u4usman4u

Usman bhai I have read all your experience with Santro. and I'm impressed with your car. If u still owned that car and want to sale then please do let me know once!! and please suggest us how can we make our Santros more fuel efficient.

I'll be thankful to all of you,

    Regards,

    Waqas

As per my own experience I think 90Km with ff CNG is just about right for Lahorians atleast, I know Islamabadians wont agree with me but that's true. For petrol issue, My car kinda behaves the same way on petrol it dose not cross 10km/l without ac in city driving. I think you should get your injectors cleaned, that should fix this issue as you have already taken alternate necessary measures.....

If the problem u are facing is on petrol only then try filling some hi octane in ur car along with petrol.....

    Thank you so much!!

No one answered my question so that I said like that! I'm sorry if my words hurt the feelings of anybody.
But there are many experts here and I got solutions of many problems through pakwheels forums.
I had Kia Sportage before this and I had many problems with that and Pakwheels helped me a lot about that.
I got disappointed because I asked about mechanics of Santro in Lahore and no one suggest me any.

    Thanks a ton!
and 100 Km on CNG considered good mileage in Lahore.
tire size is 13'' yokohama (New tires)
it runs smooth not heavy, and driven more than 1 lakh KM.
and i don't use 5th gear within city there is no need of 5th gear because you can't drive above 80 in Lahore.
and i didn't get cleaned throttle body, and already got checked sensors by scanner

yeah, 90 to 100 Km with ff CNG is enough within city and with AC,
and yeah I'm using fuel injectors cleaner of Liqui Moli nowadays, let's hope for the best.
and i heard about 2 good mechanics Iqbal in Chuburgi and Baba G near Tamaseel Cinema. I'll visit there on weekend let's see.

there is a sensor under the accelerator pedal, which controls the acceleration. I also having the same problem and the plug of that sensor was not working properly. if you are in lahore then go straight to the Iqbal (mechanic) chuburgi in-front of Suraiya Azeem Hospital. and I hope your problem will solve.

    Default Santro OBD Scanner

    Hi

Finally i own a Santro Executive 2006 now, just moments ago it landed into my garage .
Now i am looking for an On-Board Diagnostic Scanning Tool akas "OBD Scanner" for said vehicle. i had a ELM 327 Bluetooth Capable OBD Scanner that use to work awesome with my Honda SX8 and Honda Civic VTI-Pro. I plugged in the same with the Scanner Port beneath Driver's Wheel but it didn't recognize it.
Anyone here have any idea about the brand which works with this particular model, Availability, Price, Reviews.
This is open to all participants of this thread.
