please share info regarding the rear drums, after how much KMs it should be replaced?

Normally it lasts more then disc pads as the load on disc is greater then the drums at the back. Whats the ODO reading you have btw.

Today in rain, there was less effect on the braking i mean braking was good, and no screeching noise, ASUKI (old pads) were sleepery during rain and also with no noise. overall i am satisfied and recommend these pads for everyone (in local brands these are good, but genuine is genuine)

If there is no problem is Manual Gear tray then why should replace the Gear-Oil of Hyundai Santro. Mostly people said Gear-Oil will change after 20k on regular Bases.

^^No need to change gear oil, at least after 20k. However you can think of it after 50,000 km or so.

I don't remember exactly, but i think the manual says change gear oil after 20,000 KMs or 2 years whichever comes first. i will confirm after seeing the manual at my home.

Download the pictures and zoom to see clearly, "R" means Replace and "I" means Inspect. in some circumstances the oil should be changed early, while in other it may be delayed as shown in case of A, B, C, D etc....

the average you are getting is just about fine being in lahore city. could have been better in islamabad rawalpindi region due to better gas quality....

    Hi All,

I need a bit of advice from you regarding Santro.

Around a week or so Ago, I noticed that the noise coming from engine increases significantly, specially if the car goes to 60 & beyond, I have a hunch that the problem might be related to gears, but I am not really sure & neither do I have lot of car knowledge.

I believe the car might be due for a throtle body service & plug cleaning etc, cause the idle engine is not as smooth as previously experienced and the sluggish response to throttle.

Car has been driven 70K, no oil reduction, smoke or anything, I generally drive with a light foot.

Secondly, I am planning to change the front brake pads, which brand / place to buy from & any idea about prices.

A friend of mine checked from Hyundai I-10 & they said 3500 odd for front brake pads, which I believe is insanely expensive.

Would appreciate if you help / guide me.
