    what if i repair the gooday (CV joints/axles)? for how much it will be repaired and how long it will last? repair is recommended or not?

    by the way ask from a parts dealer he was asking Rs. 1800/- for chinese copy and Rs. 5,000/- for original. a Mechanic told me that if these were not repaired before then it can be repaired to perfection.

    anyone know or repaired his car's axles? how they repair it? what is the procedure?

    I had one of CV joints replaced about 6 months ago. I chose a chineese one. It costed 1000Rs and lasted only one day. Two days later i purchased a Korean CV-joint for 1800... It is working fine till now...

    Don't go for the repaired one if you can afford a new one...

    @Horse_rider
    Repair method is very crude. They open the joint, fill the worn out areas with welding and then grind it with grinder. Chinese or Taiwanese will be much better than repaired ones.

    well, there are lots of good mechanics for santro all around. I personally go to Crown Autos (behind Fire brigade), Zero point.

    You can get Genuine/Good Quality parts from parts dealer in saddar rawalpindi. Wajid Autos, Imran autos are a couple of names.
