Guyz, I have a Santro, Model Sept 2004. Till date the car's milleage is 51,400 kms. During this time I have never had Tapit adjustment and throttle body. Please suggest should I get them done asap or not? Secondly, is there anything else needs to be done?

If you feel the pickup or consumption has degraded after a while only then go for a tuning.
Best place to goto is Hyundai 3S. Simple tuning will cover all the procedures i.e Throttle body cleaning, tappet adjustments & sensors cleaning.

I guess its 400 0r 500 for the tuning. They will charge extra for the carb cleaner or any petrol used during the cleaning process, the whole cost will be under 1000 rupees probably. They might ask you to change bala bla bla but check for your self if the thing needs replacement or not.
On 50k on the odo I'll suggest changing the fuel filter as you use petrol only, also change spark plugs if not replaced earlier. Get the brakes checked etc etc....

Also some 3S offer special packages that include tuning, break service, general checkup etc in around 1000~1200RS. Thats a good deal too if you want to get your car checked thoroughly..

yesterday changed my club-2005's timing belt and bearing...purchased (genuine) for 2650/- from saddar (Imran autos)and got it installed at Hyundai Sowan Motors, Rawalpindi...the car (purchased by me 2 weeks ago) had been driven 82k by the first owner ..he said the timing belt/bearing are never replaced by him...when i replaced it i was amazed to see the timing belt was in really good shape..had rare and very minor cracks...barely visible tht too when i stretched it inside out... original is original...(the bearing though had leaked a little)...the mechanic said tht even if the bearing and belt is in good shape ..it is safer to replace after 70-80k......one more thing....the generator and AC belts were inspected by the mechanic and they were on their last legs...replaced them too @450/- each ( Hyundai Sowan motors got high price tags....last week got front brakes <frixia> from there for 1250/- whereas in saddar the same is available for 800/-) .... so my sincere advice for pindi/islamabad santro guys....!!! beware of the sowan motors....as they are costly.....but at the same time they are a good workshop...as they are santro specialists..(based on my two weeks experience.. i may b wrong though )

your are absolutely right, The Frixa brand brake pads are for Rs. 800 from Sadar, and for Rs. 1250 from Hyundai Sowan, so avoid them, i have also a bad experience with Sowan motors mechanical works, they guy over there devided outer CV joint greases and used it for inner one as well, how much they know as evident from this act.

by the way good decision to change the belts on time.

on my timing-belt the writing on the sticker on plastic packing bag goes: Hyundai / Genuine Parts / KIA Motors. (and some numerical number). and the same three Brand names were repeatedly printed on the transparent plastic packing hundreds of times.
whereas...the bearing was made by MOBIS and carried a repeated printing of Hyundai.KIA motors on a dark blue colored packing...and the packing inside had their monogram sticker too which i verified on the Mobis website.
.. (note: before i purchased them from Saddar, i first checked the same products with Hundai Sowan Motors)

..baaki Allah jaanay kitna genuine hay fake....afterall we live in a Muslim Country

thanks for sharing info, actually Mobis company is now own by Hyundai kia, and it is now called Hyundai Mobis company, so Hyundai Mobis based in Korea is the OEM Manufacturer for all Hyundai Kia cars, so don't worry about its quality, almost all Mobis products i have seen so far are original, no fake availbale is per my limited knowledge.
