Default Patrol to CNG switching issue....

    Hi,

My Car (Santro Club) has an issue regarding switching to CNG.
Some times it works fine for few hours or couple of days even but again it started creating problems.
When I start my car and switch it to CNG (no problem initially) but after driving couple of KMs, it gets stopped and I’ve to switch to patrol. After few moments when I again switch to CNG, some times it started working but some time it doesn’t switch; even I couldn’t hear the switching noise (a click noise).
I’ve visited some workshop and they advised that CNG kit needs to be serviced and Cylinder should be oil free. (So I did but the problem was still there.)
Then they recommended adding some relay onto CNG coil because it seems weak. (So I did but the problem was still there.)
Now electrician recommends changing the coil. (But I didn’t).
    What do you guys suggest?

Observation: This problem occurs in hot weather too. I’ve faced this issue today but it was working fine since last couple of weeks because of less hot weather.

    Regards,

If the car is under warranty then get it changed from them....... if it's was an aftermarket kit installation even then it can be claimed if it's not an year old..........Waisay the original coil costs Rs.1000.

The problem as you have described it does point to the coil malfunctioning............. anyways people did point to the coil in your case...... when i was facing this issue people gave diagnostics like some safety valve malfunctioning and water circulation............ no one ever pointed to the coil.........

    But as per your comments.

"So finally the issue is resolved.............

The problem was with one of the coils (or solenoid i think) ....... which allows the gas to pass once the car is switched to cng......... with the coil changed the fault is now rectified and the car doesn't switch off when converted to cng when it's cold........

Also changes the venturi and the results are quite good............"

That was the ending of the story :-) ............ the problem with my car lasted for soooooooooooo long because nobody was able to rectify the original problem i.e. the coil............
What I was saying is that you are heading in the right direction...........

    Problem Solved....

That wasn't Coil Issue but there was some problem with Conversion Switch. Just changed it (cost 1000 rupees for local one) and the problem is gone.

    @brownrose78

Demand of the Genuine conversion switch was 3300 but after discount, he was giving that switch at the cost of 2800 and that was touch system.
The local one I installed has Button.

Note: Its not like the genuine one. The faulty one in my car was the genuine one with button and the car got started on patrol and remains on patrol unless I press the accelerator but in this local one there is no concept of pressing accelerator to switch it to CNG. Definitely it gets started on patrol and after 10 seconds it switches on CNG. This is because I asked them to increase the switching time Otherwise it got switched on CNG on just ignition On, means I had to even start it on CNG. (Not acceptable).
