Though I have never driven a Spectra, I think it was a good car performance and looks wise and also reasonably priced, had also CNG version and that too in automatic tranmission. But guys Suzuki, Toyota and now Honda rule in 1300-1800cc, I think that if car prices are rationalised in Pakistan, means they are not as costly as they are at present, the folks then might go for trying new makes and models. One thing more, the shape of current Spectra in Pakistan, I saw a smiliar car Ford Taurus, in an ad of a 1998 Readers' Digest.
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.

lack of bank financing at that time. people without bank financing are more careful about brand selection.
They try to sell it like they sell mercedeze. But the product was targeted to middle market!
Test drive strategy would have helped this and similar other new brands to penetrate easily.
