My bro in law have a very good body total genuine Khyber. But it is burning the oil almost 1.25ltr/2000KMs, meanings 0.75ltr/1000KMs. SOmeone suggested him to use Diesel engine oil, so he did it last month using Caltex Delo Silver Multigraded 20W50 Deisel engine oil, but of no use. This time he has changed again Caltex Delo Silber 40W Deisel engine oil.
Problems in the car are:-
- There is no missing observed in the car, at all.
-There is minnor oil on the outer left side plug.
-There is no car starting troubles.
-Cars pick is just awsome still.
-The only problem is that you have to add some more oil after every weak or so.
-In Diesel oil change, oil burning smell comes into the trunk after 20 mins drive.
Mehanics are asking him to change the RINGs (though he has changed it lastly when getting gaskit and head changed). We have twicely changed the head gaskit but the oil burning/exhasut blowing is not finished till that time.
Also I heard that when the engine head, valves are washed with petrol or anything else, then putting them back in old engines doesn't stop oil burning/smoking. And that the engine parts shouldn't be washed like this?
Some suggest using STP SMOKE TREATMENT or US OIL TREATMENT oil additives for this thing?
We are really not trusting these mechanics, once you open the engine at their words that only rings work but when they open it up, it comes up with overhauling engine. Also suggest us some good mechanic in Rawalpindi area who works at the ride himself rather kinda children working at horse.
Please guide us what to do either changing the rings would work or we should go for a bit more?
