    Default Self Tuning - Khyber G-10 (Plugs, valve clearance, spark gap etc)

    Salam

    dear members/experts

    I own a khyber 1996. Recently overhauled its engine completely at home by myself except the mechanist part. It has its first oil change at 1100Km yesterday and i am planning to tune it. I have following query for the learned members/experts

    Q.1. recommended spark plugs for khyber g-10 on CNG
    Q.2. Recommended spark plug gap?
    Q.3. Recommended tappet setting Hot/cold?
    Q.4. Running was on petrol with Caltex Havoline formula and now i have switched to CNG with Shell helix HX7 10-40W (synthetic) , is shell HX7 ok?

    What else should i do or check to get max output and efficiency from my g-10?

    Yes its working exactly like that. But now, how to connect. Red filter in exhaust manifold had two ports to connect. Currently they are interconnected

    The tiny spring mechanism is also there in the needle valve. it looks ok to me..

    So now what Sir.. What do you say about the poor idling. should i increase the fuel level in the bowl or decrease it.. as i have no accurate means to fix it.. In current level settings some times it starts idling perfectly and then all of a sudden engien starts shutting down as soon as i take my foot off the gas pedal.. the smell of the exhaust also gets very pungent when idle gets messed up.

    its the intake manifold.. one port of the intake vacuum filter is for ac idle up and other for the electrical load idle up

    Is your carby leaking air from the base gasket?

    No. I didnt sloshed it or the carb.. i did tapped the carb hat area around the fuel inlet with a spanner when the carb was fitted in the car and fuel was not going in to the float bowl.. i did that in suspision that the needle vlave has stuck and by doing that it may work..
    also you might remember I recently placed a query about the Carb cleaner sprayed through the float vents disturbing the float level...
    but nothing else.

    Ijaaz bhai, mn to khud teheltay teheltay (matlab browse krte krte) is thread pe aya hn ILM ki talash mn.

    Mn to seekhnay walon mn se hon. Sikhana ap logon ne hi hai.


    Its been long since i last studied about the fundamentals of this carb. Might have forgotten all .

    By the way, let me cut you in on a miracle that I was told about just yesterday. The Khyber I had (its still in family), got a new carb from a Yellow Cab Scheme Khyber. The car (Yellow Cab) was awaiting an accident claim since long and was driven on Petrol during its service life. No CNG. So the owner thought of striking a deal and help a fellow in need.

    This new carb brought a new life to Khyber with Steady Idle and Responsiveness under load.

    Guess the price??

    However, I am skeptical bilal gunj can quote such a price for an old school good condition carb. Last I heard, 8~10 is minimum.

    I think the float element is not correct for your carburettor.
