Default Self Tuning - Khyber G-10 (Plugs, valve clearance, spark gap etc)

    Salam

    dear members/experts

I own a khyber 1996. Recently overhauled its engine completely at home by myself except the mechanist part. It has its first oil change at 1100Km yesterday and i am planning to tune it. I have following query for the learned members/experts

Q.1. recommended spark plugs for khyber g-10 on CNG
    Q.2. Recommended spark plug gap?
    Q.3. Recommended tappet setting Hot/cold?
Q.4. Running was on petrol with Caltex Havoline formula and now i have switched to CNG with Shell helix HX7 10-40W (synthetic) , is shell HX7 ok?

What else should i do or check to get max output and efficiency from my g-10?

    regards

after-note: In addition to the above queries, this thread also contains info on carburetor, AC, electrical, cooling system, brakes & gear issues related to khyber G-10.

Special thanks to following experts :
Xulfiqar, Fas133, Margallar, Ahsanzs, wasay_Ahmad, Xplorer, jz, Daniyal
for their valuable contributions and last but not least
I am greatful to Cracked for keeping this thread alive by
    raising all the queries/question.

In case of unavailablity of ac idle up diaphragm. You can connect ac vacuum switch solenoid pipe with electrical load up diaphragm. But this is only a temporary fix.

Most ac mechanics use that diaphragm even if there is Ac idle up diaphragm present.

    @smijaz
Q 1. Mechanic put some drops of engine oil in carburetor throat. What is this for?. Should it be avoided?

Q 2. Stock jets size/number of khyber carburetor?. Every mechanic says different numbers.

Q 3. Should Hot idle air bypass vacuum be connected for CNG?.

Q 4. Newly made Butterfly coin has no gap (with throttle plates fully closed) but there is up down free play (about 1 mm) in throttle lever/shaft, when i try to rotate and wiggle the shaft. Is there any remedy for worn out bushes?.

Okay guys here I am with another problem, of my Khyber. Though it's not related to engine or transmission but it is related to Khyber.
I decided to clean the interior by removing each and every bit, but got stuck.
A few years back we had a gear oil spill in my car, there was this bottle placed on the back floor which was not capped properly and it fell. The carpet, insulation and even the floor was drenched in gear oil.
I removed it and got it cleaned at a service station. The carpet got clean but I was not satisfied with the insulation.
Now when I opened it, I decided to clean it thoroughly, so I cleaned the carpets with a detergent, tried using detergent along with hot water on one portion of the insulation, it got better but on corners it still smells like gear oil.
Now it was the floor turn and I found the insulation attached with the floor (namda) to be a bit soggy and sticky. If you press your finger on it, you'd leave a finger print and it smelled like gear oil aswell. -.-
So I used kerosine oil on it and a hard brush. Within minutes the kerosine oil turned into brown and then into black and spread through out the car floor. I kept on using the brush but the more I rubbed, the blacker it would get, even adding more kerosine oil wasen't helpfull.
I left it as it is and the next day it was in a worse state. It felt as if the namda had started to dissolve due to the kerosine oil and had become so soft that it felt like grease.
I used a soft cloth to dry out the kerosine oil and then used a hair dryer for about 30 minutes on the floor to dry it.
It has become alot better but now it is sticking even more, has turned black.
What is the best solution which removes the gear oil throughly without damaging the namda?
    I'm attaching the pictures.

P.s: It looks much much better in the pictures but trust me the car is a mess right now.

@daniyalahmad what you are referring to as Namda is actually not called Namda, rather it is a bitumen layer. Namda is placed above it, the one made of old cotton type thing.
Taking oil out of carpet and Namda is very difficult. Better try to find a new one.

Bitumen dissolves quickly in kerosene, so don't use kerosene on it; only water and detergent.

sorry to be the bearer of bad news - but there is no way to get rid of the gear oil smell unless you want to scrape away the bitumen layer. Gear oil is the worst smelling stuff on earth.

A non professional approach that I used for same scenario was to get non alcoholic 30 ml perfume spray with 50% fragrance oil for 400rs. I kept spraying few times a day on infected areas of carpet. Within two three days, the smell was gone.

Mine was very less amount spilt under drivers seat. So it worked.

The idea was to mix fragrance oil with gear oil affected areas in such amount to eliminate nasty smell.

I agree with you, in my other car trunk, gear oil half bottle leaked. I had to replace full carpet and clean rest items multiple times. Even then it stinks little bit.

    Thanks for the correction!
The carpet is all done. Clean with no odor of gear oil. The namda is in a much better state with only its edges smelling like gear oil, rest its almost clean and odorless.
I can get new insulation sheet (namda) and carpet but without the clean floor, they'll be ruined as well. :\

    Point noted!
But will using detergent remove the gear oil in the bitumen layer?
Should I try hot water along with detergent if it won't damage the bitumen layer?

    Ookay!
So what if I scrape off the bitumen layer?
I have heard that it can be re-done, however I really DON'T want to scrape it off as my floors and in a perfect condition, so any other option, by which I can make the situation better, If not completely perfect?

    Hmmm...
In my case the area is quite large.
I think I did the stupid thing of using the Kerosine Oil which thinned the oil and made it to seep through the bitumen layer, thus evenly spreading it in every nook and corner.
Anyways I'll keep your suggestion in mind while working on it.

The first thing I'm trying to do is to throw out as much oil as possible, then the odor treatment will come into the equation. I won't be reluctant to try anything to remove this mess from my car.

i think this area can easily be covered using less than one spray bottle of odour eliminator. the problem is that will it kill the oil smell
