Default Self Tuning - Khyber G-10 (Plugs, valve clearance, spark gap etc)

    Salam

    dear members/experts

I own a khyber 1996. Recently overhauled its engine completely at home by myself except the mechanist part. It has its first oil change at 1100Km yesterday and i am planning to tune it. I have following query for the learned members/experts

Q.1. recommended spark plugs for khyber g-10 on CNG
    Q.2. Recommended spark plug gap?
    Q.3. Recommended tappet setting Hot/cold?
Q.4. Running was on petrol with Caltex Havoline formula and now i have switched to CNG with Shell helix HX7 10-40W (synthetic) , is shell HX7 ok?

What else should i do or check to get max output and efficiency from my g-10?

    regards

after-note: In addition to the above queries, this thread also contains info on carburetor, AC, electrical, cooling system, brakes & gear issues related to khyber G-10.

Special thanks to following experts :
Xulfiqar, Fas133, Margallar, Ahsanzs, wasay_Ahmad, Xplorer, jz, Daniyal
for their valuable contributions and last but not least
I am greatful to Cracked for keeping this thread alive by
    raising all the queries/question.

Waseem Autos and others were asking for 16~18k for this carburettor.
I would have never taken the risk of a kabli carburettor.
You never know that what is the condition of it?
How many km,s had it done etc etc so going for the new one was the best choice.
plus my car calipers are also makin noise, ima get them fixed if they cud or ill replace em...
    Get the brakes checked.
First get it confirmed that is it the caliper that is creating noises or something else?
You can replace them with the kabli ones because new one are not available.
yar 2 lakh khyber ka engine chal sakta hy?u said its stock n petrol ran,but still 2 lac is too much 4 this tinny winny engine??
AC regular use krty ho summer may???
    Sure it can.
If taken proper care of and time to time mantainance is carried out then it surely lasts that much long.
After clocking 2 lac it has now done another 10k.
AC is normally used for trips that are longer than 30 minutes otherwise no AC.

Moving from 12" to 13" is not an issue.
165/65/13 is the perfect size for Khyber in 13"
The steering may become a little hard but not that much.
Suspension wont be affected that much by this size.

so xulfiqar bhai, which long reach plugs with resistor should i get? Im currently using some long reach plugs without resistor. its ID number starts from 'J'

edit: the plugs im running now are J16BU-11. How do these compare with W20EXR-U ? I looked at the specs here: http://www.globaldenso.com/en/produc...pec/index.html

and i conclude that both these are long reach plugs?

I dont think the new era coil (alto/cultus) needs resister.
which plug wires are you using?
Clean distributor rotor and 3 terminals inside the distributor cover.

best of luck for 100K milestone. try using VIC/Neppon oil filters coz they really do make difference in enhancing engine life. VIC costs around 350.

Edit. after how many km running your engine oil looses its colour and becomes dark ?

Mehran is still running on breaker points,
Is Khyber having the CDI system or is it also running on the same breaker point system?

its not a CDI - its an electronic ignition system running off a pulse generator and an ignitor to fire the coil.. - A CDI uses a capacitor to charge the coil you dont have that

to the question of alto's coil
The electronic weird shaped new era coil does not require a resistor as its impedance is not low.
