Default Self Tuning - Khyber G-10 (Plugs, valve clearance, spark gap etc)

    Salam

    dear members/experts

I own a khyber 1996. Recently overhauled its engine completely at home by myself except the mechanist part. It has its first oil change at 1100Km yesterday and i am planning to tune it. I have following query for the learned members/experts

Q.1. recommended spark plugs for khyber g-10 on CNG
    Q.2. Recommended spark plug gap?
    Q.3. Recommended tappet setting Hot/cold?
Q.4. Running was on petrol with Caltex Havoline formula and now i have switched to CNG with Shell helix HX7 10-40W (synthetic) , is shell HX7 ok?

What else should i do or check to get max output and efficiency from my g-10?

    regards

after-note: In addition to the above queries, this thread also contains info on carburetor, AC, electrical, cooling system, brakes & gear issues related to khyber G-10.

Special thanks to following experts :
Xulfiqar, Fas133, Margallar, Ahsanzs, wasay_Ahmad, Xplorer, jz, Daniyal
for their valuable contributions and last but not least
I am greatful to Cracked for keeping this thread alive by
    raising all the queries/question.

with tstat, air takes more time to escape from the system. so keep checking and topping up (with engine cold).

Javed Sons, G-9/4 has digital and analog temperature sensors. Digital measures upto 70 C and analog measures upto 150C. Checking by temperature is recommended, as i had one or two bad experiences with these new radiator fan switches.

They also have the smaller AC pulley that Mr. Smijaz talks about at the start of thread (post #24).

    @shaidbokhari
Both analog and digital are around 300 rs each. Digital one (i recently bought from there) will not work for radiator, as it does not give reading above 70C.

@margallar old nd new picture of one side. After using sand paper on rusted area, applied black compound, dissolved in petrol overnight. It made an overlay on paint. Didnt coated it to thick, so that origional floor is visible.... it is removable if washed with petrol.... wot do u suggest, i dont think it needs paint on this, nd i dont wana apply paint on this... there is another possibility, after sanding rusted parts, i should apply paint nd then black compound....

Yes, they are for khyber. Total expenses for YEC distributor cap, YEC rotor and O ring are no more than 500rs. Replace only, if they are sandpapered or damaged.
I was looking for a distributor cap of YEC for khyber a few days ago and the shop showed me one for mehran which had the block thing on the cap but khyber's cap does not have that black thing. What is its purpose? Can i use mehran's YEC cap on khyber?

@Xulfiqar If the disk brake pads are worn out, will they still be in contact with the disk or will there be a gap between the pad and rotor? Are the drum brakes also set to be in slight contact or does the tire run free?

Have your tstat and auto fan system checked once on a standing car. Keep an eye on the gauge for a day or two and then Allah par tawakkal karo. Insha Allah your worries will fade out.

You can check tstat opening by cold-starting your car with open radiator cap(Please do not open when engine is warm). Look at the water in the radiator, it will NOT be moving much untill the valve opens, the water will whirl around in the cap. The level may drop a little while doing so but you will be able to see the level.
Plus the radiator auto fan should start more or less at the same time of tstat valve opening.

If you are worried about the fan, you can bring in the manual switch, to turn on the fan if the switch fails. But mostly its the wiring that fails not the switch itself.

Finally it happened. Went to wah cant. Almost after travelling 25km, smelled burnt oil. Car stopped. Opened the bonut nd there was smoke of burning oil. Like we gave if we service the engine with diesel. Water in radiator seems ok, heat guage was showing ok, but it wasnt ok. Let the engine cool, removed tstat, made the fan direct but till then i think kaam ho chuka tha... started car after waiting for like 30 mins to let engine cool down. Started car, there were big bubbles in radiator,,, means head gasket blown. And after every 4-5 secnds, it was throwing water out like vomiting.. travelled rest of 10-12 km to wah nd 35-40 way back to home is tention. Reached home, lot of smell of burnt oil, didnt felt on my way back due to raining, opened bonut, lot if smoke of burnt oil. Radiator pipe wasnt too hard, niether heat guage was showing any heat.. waited 5 mints, openned radiator cap, water was cold like just poured. Throwed two three drops if water on tappet cover nd they converted to vapours as they touched cover.
Another problem faced, even in first gear i felt lost of power plus kr kr nocking type sound, in addition, when started engine, it started wid a difficulty, like phns phns k. But started nd idle perfectly. Now there is a strange tik tik sound frim engine....

Now can any body explained wot wot happened..
Why water was cool nd engine was extreme hot.
Why knocking sound nd tik tik sound is there?
