Default Self Tuning - Khyber G-10 (Plugs, valve clearance, spark gap etc)

    Salam

    dear members/experts

I own a khyber 1996. Recently overhauled its engine completely at home by myself except the mechanist part. It has its first oil change at 1100Km yesterday and i am planning to tune it. I have following query for the learned members/experts

Q.1. recommended spark plugs for khyber g-10 on CNG
    Q.2. Recommended spark plug gap?
    Q.3. Recommended tappet setting Hot/cold?
Q.4. Running was on petrol with Caltex Havoline formula and now i have switched to CNG with Shell helix HX7 10-40W (synthetic) , is shell HX7 ok?

What else should i do or check to get max output and efficiency from my g-10?

    regards

after-note: In addition to the above queries, this thread also contains info on carburetor, AC, electrical, cooling system, brakes & gear issues related to khyber G-10.

Special thanks to following experts :
Xulfiqar, Fas133, Margallar, Ahsanzs, wasay_Ahmad, Xplorer, jz, Daniyal
for their valuable contributions and last but not least
I am greatful to Cracked for keeping this thread alive by
    raising all the queries/question.

the mixture screw is at the tail end of the idle circuit - it controls a bit foamy mix - the foam happens because of the emulsification circuit - if your carby is not adding air to the idle passage then the mixture will be uncontrollable at idle speed.

to test the mixture screw - remove the spring and screw it in till it stops - the engine should stall, if its not stalling then something else is making it idle - leaking primary circuit, leaky mixture screw etc.

You may also have a broached mixture screw housing (happens when mechanics go to town in tightening the screw)

    Bump. Where is everyone?
@axe.effect if i remember correctly you got a vacuum advance diaphragm for your khyber a while ago. What's your location? I'm unable to find it in nearby shops. They tell me to go to Bilal gunj which is far away from where i live. I haven't checked on montgomery road yet.

    @DUDE007
I purchased that from Sultan ka Khoo, Rawalpindi. No idea about Lahore, check those shops that have distributors. The one that i use now is from mehran or cultus distributor, according to shopkeeper and it fits/works perfectly in Khyber. i will post the part number of distributor vacuum advance in the afternoon.

    Part number (written on it):
    ND 9R20

If you want to mix it with coolant, then it's okay, otherwise not.

Btw, AC water can be used to top up battery electrolyte level.

When choosing between two evils for cooling system, I would prefer tap water over AC drain water (more corrosive than tap water).

AC drain water is sort of distilled water, distilled water reacts more quickly than tap water, to form rust in cooling system, if it is used without coolant.

I heard that Enercon G-10 Islamabad has compression tester and they charge around 400rs for it.
