Default Self Tuning - Khyber G-10 (Plugs, valve clearance, spark gap etc)

    Salam

    dear members/experts

I own a khyber 1996. Recently overhauled its engine completely at home by myself except the mechanist part. It has its first oil change at 1100Km yesterday and i am planning to tune it. I have following query for the learned members/experts

Q.1. recommended spark plugs for khyber g-10 on CNG
    Q.2. Recommended spark plug gap?
    Q.3. Recommended tappet setting Hot/cold?
Q.4. Running was on petrol with Caltex Havoline formula and now i have switched to CNG with Shell helix HX7 10-40W (synthetic) , is shell HX7 ok?

What else should i do or check to get max output and efficiency from my g-10?

    regards

after-note: In addition to the above queries, this thread also contains info on carburetor, AC, electrical, cooling system, brakes & gear issues related to khyber G-10.

Special thanks to following experts :
Xulfiqar, Fas133, Margallar, Ahsanzs, wasay_Ahmad, Xplorer, jz, Daniyal
for their valuable contributions and last but not least
I am greatful to Cracked for keeping this thread alive by
    raising all the queries/question.

i like the new plastic bodied coils better, the absence of thimbles makes it a very simple job to install or remove them and if you solder the wires and use heatshrink to cover it up, it looks good too.

I would have gone for that bosch coil if it was available , a seller sent me a bosch blue coil saying it was good for margalla, it would have probably damaged the ignitor, primary resistance was i think 0.7 or less, someone without research would have found out the hard way
add a resistor to it - simples.

rule of thumb for oldschool cars was 3.0 ohms, the ignitor types got switched to low impedance coils but not all systems are equal - best lookup the service specifications and model required for your application.

Guys, what fuel filter and ignition coil are you using in your Khybers? I have an option to buy a chinese fuel filter one for 100rs and leppon(which the shop didnt have at the moment) for 120rs. Will the leppon one be ok? In used coils, which one should i buy? Please mention the shop name(s) in Lahore.
My car still has the factory fitted stock ignition coil. Don't go for a used ignition coil. If you can afford then go for a new Denso coil and buy it from an aunthorized shop. Otherwise, go for the coil @margallar has quoted. My exprerince with kabli parts isn't that good.
For instance, my mechanic used to insist that I should go for kabli axles and not the new Chinese ones, as according to him they are not reliable.
But the kabli axles never lasted longer, so I installed Chinese axle kit and it is working good even after 2.5 years. Now even my mechanic suggests new axles to his customers.
As for the fuel filter, I have yet to see a good quality fuel filter for Khyber. SGP products available at local shops are all fake.
Last month I have installed SGP fuel filter and its price was Rs.70/- What can you expect in such an amount these days.

The front and rear engine mounts are fitted like this demo picture, recently. After installation, floor vibration at low rpms (1000 to 2000) increased. The car is smooth after 2000 rpm.

The pin on mount is sitting in the hole perfectly, but this does not seem ok to me. Is this ok?

Should the red thing be in line with blue thing?.

    hey suzuki experts.

I need a new fx distributor cap. Any pointers as to brands to avoid or which one to prefer, and their pricing?

if i were in your place, i would get that new era coil to get things going and eventually get the denso when i had the cash. Plus it is a good idea to change the plug wires, cup and rotor at the same time. and some nice di electric grease on all the contacts, a tuning session right after that

btw can you do me a favour, if olympia motors is on your route, ask them the price of mehran plug wires or alto wires

Plug wires are fine as resistance was checked by @syncview and it was in range. Cup and rotor are of YEC. Do you have di electric grease?
How long would the new era coil last as compared to Denso one?

it is always a matter of luck, it can go in a few years or last as long as the denso, depends on your luck and whether it has been abused (like run with arcing wires)

for now i don't have di electric grease.
