Default Self Tuning - Khyber G-10 (Plugs, valve clearance, spark gap etc)

    Salam

    dear members/experts

I own a khyber 1996. Recently overhauled its engine completely at home by myself except the mechanist part. It has its first oil change at 1100Km yesterday and i am planning to tune it. I have following query for the learned members/experts

Q.1. recommended spark plugs for khyber g-10 on CNG
    Q.2. Recommended spark plug gap?
    Q.3. Recommended tappet setting Hot/cold?
Q.4. Running was on petrol with Caltex Havoline formula and now i have switched to CNG with Shell helix HX7 10-40W (synthetic) , is shell HX7 ok?

What else should i do or check to get max output and efficiency from my g-10?

    regards

after-note: In addition to the above queries, this thread also contains info on carburetor, AC, electrical, cooling system, brakes & gear issues related to khyber G-10.

Special thanks to following experts :
Xulfiqar, Fas133, Margallar, Ahsanzs, wasay_Ahmad, Xplorer, jz, Daniyal
for their valuable contributions and last but not least
I am greatful to Cracked for keeping this thread alive by
    raising all the queries/question.

    @DUDE007

This is what my calculations show,
    4.3 litre water (4300 grams), 5% citric acid powder (215 grams), 2.5 % baking soda (107.5 grams).

    Radiator flushing and cleaning.

    https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=238967

Note: baking soda (meetha soda) and baking powder are not the same.

1:20 would be dilute as I have a lot of rust. What I'm worried about is that the reservoir is reducing water at a faster rate right now which means I might get major leaks after flushing . Will check for leaks tomorrow before attempting to flush it.......

If there is a lot of rust, then just do simple flushing with 'cold' engine without thermostat valve.

cold/normal water + hot engine = recipe for damaged head.

I did that citric acid flushing a month ago, no leaks so far, but there was some rust inside, even after using coolant 95% of the time.

the crack didn't go as far as where the coolant is circulated so it should be ok.

Yes I will do that once I get to see the condition of the inner pipes. Btw there was no leak but how much water should reduce from the reservoir after a 15 to 20 km total drive (with stops).

    Default Help Needed

    AOA fellow Khyber owners,

I have been an avid reader of this thread since long. I need your expert opinion and help, from the above few pictures can anybody tell me whats missing from my engine mechanically and electrical wise, if possible.

Secondly my car jerks on petrol when accelerator is released for slowing down, can it be electrical problem or something else?

Thirdly whats the mileage you get on petrol out of a full tank?

Thanks in advance for the help.

    My observation:
    Large diaphragm is not connected.

The jerk while releasing accelerator may be due to bad or faulty dashpot. Jerk is felt more in lower gears.

If you are using petrol only, set your ignition timing accordingly, remove air blockage if any, remove at least the cylinder.

you might need to clean the locking mechanism first, grease and dirt cause it to sieze - the original lubricant applied to it at the factory was wax.

If you think the bonnet catch has lowered itself then check the radiator support panel for bending in the middle.

Thank you sir for your quick reply. There is no air blockage on my car for cng, i was wondering if what i read here about resistor on ignition coil could help in rectifying those jerks on slow. What does the big diaphragm do?

If any other seniors like Xulfiqar, DUDE007, smijaz, axe effect could also give their feedback it will be much appreciated.

Remover front grill and examine the lower area..found that inner side of left front tyre is cracked a lot causing the support "where lock is " went down. Given to dentor....he told me 3 hours, 1500 and it will be ok. Lets c.

Actually now a days i m in mardan for some official activity. Have to travel 3 km broken road with lot of bumps...that caused it. Its also effecting the axles..
another thing i want to ask that my steering is too much soft now a days. Is this ok?

What are the names of these red, yellow and green things?.

Knowing the names make it very easy to 'search' information.
