    Default Self Tuning - Khyber G-10 (Plugs, valve clearance, spark gap etc)

    Salam

    dear members/experts

    I own a khyber 1996. Recently overhauled its engine completely at home by myself except the mechanist part. It has its first oil change at 1100Km yesterday and i am planning to tune it. I have following query for the learned members/experts

    Q.1. recommended spark plugs for khyber g-10 on CNG
    Q.2. Recommended spark plug gap?
    Q.3. Recommended tappet setting Hot/cold?
    Q.4. Running was on petrol with Caltex Havoline formula and now i have switched to CNG with Shell helix HX7 10-40W (synthetic) , is shell HX7 ok?

    What else should i do or check to get max output and efficiency from my g-10?

    But i noticed one thing....that cont running on petrol make car tention free...super carby...no slow jet main jet issues or jerking....sab set hogaya...in short rawan hogae hain petrol py chl chl k

    It works....no problem.....but cng kit isn't the best for lpg

    The opening temp should be 82 degrees C. I think mehran and fx one would fit. I got fx one and its exactly same as the old kabli tstat i had

    I haven't seen cultus one so can't say. If you are in Lahore go to Montgomery road. You'll find a brand new one in original SGP packing.

    you just need to know what you are buying. it will be a ntc brand valve, you can buy that in sgp packing or ntc paking (both are the same thing, sgp is overpriced).

    it is a common item. try the molvis (shakeel autos township). or if montogomery rd is near, visit mumtaz autos.

    once you have bought it, put it in a sauce pan full of water, as it approaches near 82 deg c, it will start opening up.

    if it has opened up , then remove the water and let the valve air cool, it should shut.

    this will make sure that the new valve is not stuck closed.

    yeah I know abt the boiling stuff procedure .. i ave changed the fuel pump of my car because today I saw a petrol leakge from it and i was like wth its too dangerous .. thanks my friend saw it .. was reading on google that this occurs when the car is cold .. mechanic was saying its fit but i told him its diaphragm or whatever it is has leaked so change it .. thinking to change the valve too because it will some day mess up too

    Needle is at around 40%. It never/rarely goes to 50%.

    If you feel your present tstat is not working fine, just remove and check in boiling water. Replace if necessary.
