Default Self Tuning - Khyber G-10 (Plugs, valve clearance, spark gap etc)

    Salam

    dear members/experts

I own a khyber 1996. Recently overhauled its engine completely at home by myself except the mechanist part. It has its first oil change at 1100Km yesterday and i am planning to tune it. I have following query for the learned members/experts

Q.1. recommended spark plugs for khyber g-10 on CNG
    Q.2. Recommended spark plug gap?
    Q.3. Recommended tappet setting Hot/cold?
Q.4. Running was on petrol with Caltex Havoline formula and now i have switched to CNG with Shell helix HX7 10-40W (synthetic) , is shell HX7 ok?

What else should i do or check to get max output and efficiency from my g-10?

    regards

after-note: In addition to the above queries, this thread also contains info on carburetor, AC, electrical, cooling system, brakes & gear issues related to khyber G-10.

Special thanks to following experts :
Xulfiqar, Fas133, Margallar, Ahsanzs, wasay_Ahmad, Xplorer, jz, Daniyal
for their valuable contributions and last but not least
I am greatful to Cracked for keeping this thread alive by
    raising all the queries/question.

I think khybers do have this relay as my head unit shuts off while starting. But i usually turn it off just in case.

I don't know about that but i guess it uses the circuit joining the battery wire to starter wire (in ignition barrel) as a switch. When you twist the key from ON to START the circuit is complete causing the relay to break the connection of the power wire going to your head unit.

I once removed the battery negative to see which wires had continuity while key was in START position. I found those 2 wires out of 4 and connected a push button switch in parallel. So basically i installed a push start button . For some reason it didn't work as i expected maybe due to thin wires, bad connection etc

Red is silicone to fix air leaks, no worries about that.

For CNG setup, you either need Venturi or drill the carburetor. You have venturi installed. The metallic thing where your cng pipe connects on carb is venturi.

Drilled carburetor has CNG pipe connected above fuel idle mixture screw, like this.

    https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/sho....php?p=4432802

Did you re adjust timing and cng setting?.

Search ' venturi ', ' jerk', ' jerks ',' hiccups '. You will find some very useful posts.

Your car is missing CNG kit coolant pipes, to heat the CNG kit, for maximum efficiency.

Nope I havent adjusted the timing but yes did cng tuning couple of days back he just cleaned the plugs .. told em abt the tappets he told me they don't need any adjustment they are perfectly all right .. when air flow isnt the problem then it could be something realted to timing? should I go for a computerized tunning?
regarding the coolant pipes to heat the kit .. can they be installed in any kit or this landi renzo only?

lastly about the pcv valve .. can it be taken out or should it remain intact and spray a bit of carburettor cleaner into it?

    thnx

Yes, pcv can be taken out by unscrewing it. It allows air to flow in one direction and there is a ball inside it that rattles on shaking. If it doesn't rattle then clean with carb cleaner and check again.

Every kit has this coolant connectors. Your kit has too, i can see from the picture.

There is also an oil drain nut at the bottom of kit, you can open it yourself to drain oil, to clean kit.

Jerks at sudden acceleration only or any specific rpms. One Jerks or constant jerks?

Inspect plug wires for physical damage, arching and resistance with DMM of wires and coil.

Vacuum leaks can also cause these.

Telling you about the yeaterday experience while entering house gate i pressed the paddle the car was like heavy ,the feeling yu get when u wash the engine and water enters and that burpy kinda noise and then it disappears when push the throttle a bit .. sometimes it starts jerking ,mini jerkswhile
driving in 12 13 seconds gap.. the pick isn't yhat reaponsive ..when it starts jerking i shiftmto petrol and the car gets so smooth that sometimes I think to throw away cng .. i will inspect the plug wires .. coil was checked but will check it again .. i think its the cng settings .. in asaan urdu ilfaz .." gari band band si ha cng pr" with minor jerks
in intervals and on petrol its super smooth.
I did that manual cng tuning should I head towards computerized one with that timing gun etc

and the essence of carb cleaner is to keep doing it regularly and save one self from having to dismantle the carb. If you dismantle the carb any way then its best to remove all non metallic parts and put all metal parts in citric acid solution in a handi and bring it to a boil. They will shine as if they came out of foundry.

Throat means the part around the throttle plate(2). The choke plate is at the mouth. Have someone pull the choke from inside the car and you will see the choke plate move.
    The walls are 3.
