    Default Self Tuning - Khyber G-10 (Plugs, valve clearance, spark gap etc)

    Salam

    dear members/experts

    I own a khyber 1996. Recently overhauled its engine completely at home by myself except the mechanist part. It has its first oil change at 1100Km yesterday and i am planning to tune it. I have following query for the learned members/experts

    Q.1. recommended spark plugs for khyber g-10 on CNG
    Q.2. Recommended spark plug gap?
    Q.3. Recommended tappet setting Hot/cold?
    Q.4. Running was on petrol with Caltex Havoline formula and now i have switched to CNG with Shell helix HX7 10-40W (synthetic) , is shell HX7 ok?

    What else should i do or check to get max output and efficiency from my g-10?

    brother brought it from abroad
    it was around equivalent of 6500 pkr and detector was Rs. 500 less.

    Wow...you got them at a great price...locally I think a decent vacuum pump is not less than 12k

    My car is all over good but i have one issue. When i break my car goes to right side then on left side. I have checked wheel alignment and tyres and also my break pads are new. This happens when i break on speed above 60, when i break on slow speed my car break makes a noise like karak karak and i also feel that on break paddle what is it?? Why my car displaces on speed breaking and makes such noise when i break slowly on slow speed???

    Your brake rotors needs replacement /resurfacing. Check for its thickness. If sufficient then face it otherwise replace them.

    Sorry to be off topic... can any one tell me what can be the issue..

    for a past few days i get alot of alerts on my mobile via pw app e.g. xyz sent you a private message, abc qouted you but when i open it up, there is nothing...

    are these posts / messages deleted some how... if yes Y? whats going on

    This is the prob in the pw app...if u click on notification...there will be shown nothing but if u wait or press refresh button on app...messages will be appeared.

    Completed another successful trip to okara....around 1000 km on the roundtrip

    MashaAllah. Car didnt created any problem...3000 petrol 1800 cng.. total fuel consumed...
    Ac half way when going to okara and full way when coming back...
    I am very much pleased that despite of hot weather, thermostat valve existence and automatic fan, it didnt heated....needle was in middle most of the time....
    Fuel average also seems good
    Once again i felt the cng in punjab is not of good quality as compared to pothohar region...i filled up cylinder from isb and it lasted 240 km with 60% ac...speed was 90-100
    On my way back....refilled cng and it lasted 100 km with full time ac....same speed...both time cng was filled at 210-220 pressure...
    Was thinking to try high octane but wasnt able to find on caltex (my fav fuel)....
    Kher thanx to Almighty Allah that journey was outstanding all the way....

    any drastic elevation change that can cause the CNG consumption to go loopy?

    By elavation he meant terrain alevation (altitude). In natural aspirated engine Fuel economy & Horsepower varies with altitude. There is also a formula to calculate the horsepower loss due to alevation. Roughly speaking its around

    3% loss in HP / 1000 ft elevation for Naturally aspirated engines
    1.5% loss in HP / 1000 ft elevation for turbo charged engines

    Oh thnx for the clarification...wesay i always felt that cng of pothohar region gives more mileage and good pick as compared to punjab region gas...this isnot the ist time...if i filled cng at 210 pressure from isb, it lasted for 200-250km but filled at same pressure frim punjab gives around 150....
    The gas i filled from lahore and pindi bhatian wasnt gaving good pick...but the gas filled from awan cng at balkasar interchange gave good pivk.....
    Another thing noticed,,ac reduced the fuel average if running on petrol but on cng there is no change in mileage or very little change....

    guys... i m facing problem of reducing engine oil... used 20-50 shell & now 20-50 Havoline... but same result... i guess oil was reducing 1.5 litter on 1000 km... checked no leak sign on every side of car... but no leaks.. i READ in form that valve seals change might work... CNG setting & Petrol avg are fine... need help in this...

    call up Irshad 0300 2237538 / in Karachi, and 1st get the compression test done. compression test ascertain the engine health in terms of rings & pistons. 1.5 liter oil / 1000 km is high for valve seal problem - did you checked the PCV valve ?

    Detailed my Khyber on Eid holidays.

    Performed the following procedure:

    1) Washed with Nano Suds shampoo
    2) Clayed the car using Autoscrub sponge. Used Nano Skin Glide for lubrication.
    3) Again shampooed
    4) Dried it with a water magnet
    5) Hi Glaze wax
    6) Vitality Spray Wax

    Self Tunning  Khyber G10 Plugs valve clearance spark gap etc -1596713

    The engine was cleaned using Meguiar's Super Degreaser.

    Any compression test availability in rwp/isb?
