    Default Self Tuning - Khyber G-10 (Plugs, valve clearance, spark gap etc)

    Salam

    dear members/experts

    I own a khyber 1996. Recently overhauled its engine completely at home by myself except the mechanist part. It has its first oil change at 1100Km yesterday and i am planning to tune it. I have following query for the learned members/experts

    Q.1. recommended spark plugs for khyber g-10 on CNG
    Q.2. Recommended spark plug gap?
    Q.3. Recommended tappet setting Hot/cold?
    Q.4. Running was on petrol with Caltex Havoline formula and now i have switched to CNG with Shell helix HX7 10-40W (synthetic) , is shell HX7 ok?

    What else should i do or check to get max output and efficiency from my g-10?

    " e. Rotate the wheel till the outlet valve of the 1st cylinder is fully opened (pressed)."

    wat u mean PRESSED n opened??

    The valves remain closed with the help of the springs and are pressed open by the rocker arms with help of cams on the cam shaft.

    When the 1st cylinder outlet valve is fully opened , both valves of the 3rd cylinder are in closed state where the clearance can be adjusted.

    How is it going guys?
    Today I once again felt some minor jerks.
    Dont know whats the problem this time.
    BTW I checked the 0~100 timing after the brakes got ok and it came out to be 16.9 sec.

    but wen adjusting tappets like u said,k jub 1st cylinder open ho tou 3rd k inlet n outlet closed hon gy..
    tou 3rd cylinder k inlet n outlet donno usi time adjust kr doon??
    mean inlet n outlet of 3rd cylinder to be adjusted at same 0.06 or watever recommended setting???

    Yes.. both inlet and outlet are to be adjusted.

    did the thermostat valve worked? Plz update.. Winters will be here soon so i was planning to get one installed.

    nope...thermostat not yet in cuz the thermostat housing screws have gone rusty n werent opening,so ill need to go to mechanic to get em out without breaking em inside causing even more problem..
    kal jana hy mechanic k pas to get in the thermostat in,hope housing screws get open without much roblem...thts a common problem cuz thermostat housing is subject to immense temperature n temperature goes up n down causing it to expand n contract causing such problem as stucked screws..
    sure thing daniyal,ill come to gtg...car ke awazoon py hansana mat!!!lol

    hay i wana knw price of the coil of khyber??/
    cuz the one im currently havin is almost dead..i mean wo GALL gae hy n it will need replacing next summer so im planning to get it his winter,might save some dough..LOL
    btw my car still chills inside like mad,really,mean in noons n hot days,its good butu in nights,ull feel like cold n ac trips on nights but not in days time,,coil new ke price plz?plus kabli availble hoti hy coil?

    I think you are talking about something related to AC but where is this coil in the AC system.

    Bro! You have done a good job by overhauling khyber engine yourself. Pls find some time and write the step-by-step details, just like you wrote about valve-lash adjustment earlier. It will be a great help for a lot of people.

    Whats wrong with ur evaporator... plz explain "gall gya" and how?

    Evaporator is the only part that must be genuine/original one... new ones and alteration deosnt work here.. if it needs replacement go for genuine khybers or swifts evaporator with complete casing. I paid 2500 for the genuine cultus one in my old khyber 3 years back.
