Default Self Tuning - Khyber G-10 (Plugs, valve clearance, spark gap etc)

    Salam

    dear members/experts

I own a khyber 1996. Recently overhauled its engine completely at home by myself except the mechanist part. It has its first oil change at 1100Km yesterday and i am planning to tune it. I have following query for the learned members/experts

Q.1. recommended spark plugs for khyber g-10 on CNG
    Q.2. Recommended spark plug gap?
    Q.3. Recommended tappet setting Hot/cold?
Q.4. Running was on petrol with Caltex Havoline formula and now i have switched to CNG with Shell helix HX7 10-40W (synthetic) , is shell HX7 ok?

What else should i do or check to get max output and efficiency from my g-10?

    regards

after-note: In addition to the above queries, this thread also contains info on carburetor, AC, electrical, cooling system, brakes & gear issues related to khyber G-10.

Special thanks to following experts :
Xulfiqar, Fas133, Margallar, Ahsanzs, wasay_Ahmad, Xplorer, jz, Daniyal
for their valuable contributions and last but not least
I am greatful to Cracked for keeping this thread alive by
    raising all the queries/question.

    @cracked
    It was nice meeting you,
I wanted to talk to you about the thermostat valve but forgot.
    Any updates on it?
And whats wrong with the AC coil?

Thanks... I will try to compile it... or may be, start it step by step..

    ^ Haha.
Umair was also there with his Khyber but he arrived a bit late so his car was parked a bit away.
You guys kept a distance from the activities taking place and left early, other wise I would have introduced you with each other.
BTW do update here when you get the thermostat valve installed.

I still dont think your evaporator needs a replacement... until and unless its leaking still you can get it repaired. The genuine one does not get rusty so if you have the original thing with you dont replace , service or repair it if leaking from some good ac shop.

4000-5000 will be a waste coz you will get the same thing that is already with you. (it will be used)

if the evaporator itself is leaking...then you'l have no gas in the system.
if its just the water thats leaking then its the plastic housing thats outside the evaporator thats leaking condensed water or the outlet pipe is blocked. dont touch the evaporator if AC is cooling fine!

the problem is its not leakin..i mean the evaporator unit but the thing is its fins have turned around n r blockin the air..blow is good yet the fins bent must b holding the blow...
n tht cant b done right as fins r sensitive n might get leak if tried to do straight...all it needs is replacement in near future...like i said its cooling is good but it cud b better with better evaporator unit..!

    Regarding the thermostat valve issue...

Normally , there are connections for car AC heater, hot water from the engine passes thru the heating coil and goes back to the pipe connected to water pump.

In my case the heating system is disconnected and instead of pipes there are stopper installed , one near the thermo valve and other down near the starter motor.

If I install thermostat valve and when it is closed (engine temp is below optimal range) it will neither allow hot water to flow thru radiator nor will it be able to pass thru the heaters coil which it normally does even if the valve is closed or open.

So the question is do i have to reconnect heating coil in case i install the thermostat valve or will it work without the connections to the heater.

yar jub unit saaf krwa ra tha tou i asked ac wala k is it repairable tou he said nae bhai fins toot jaen ge n literally they r nistate k unhy halka sa b turn ke try ke gae tou they gonan break..

about thermostat for ijaz bhai car i think heater lines have nothin to do with thermostat cuz thermostat valve is insatalled on place whr it stops water from entering the engine route till engine reaches specific temp n heater is total seperate ...JUST MY OPINION...xulifiqar can tell better..btw whr is xulifiqar lost???long tym no see!

There is L shaped small pipe near the thermostat housing which circulates the water in the engine when the thermostat valve is closed so it is not compulsory to connect heater pipe when using thermostat. I myself disconnect the heater pipe in summer and reconnect in winter without removing the thermostat and my temp. needle stays in the middle.
