Default Self Tuning - Khyber G-10 (Plugs, valve clearance, spark gap etc)

    Salam

    dear members/experts

I own a khyber 1996. Recently overhauled its engine completely at home by myself except the mechanist part. It has its first oil change at 1100Km yesterday and i am planning to tune it. I have following query for the learned members/experts

Q.1. recommended spark plugs for khyber g-10 on CNG
    Q.2. Recommended spark plug gap?
    Q.3. Recommended tappet setting Hot/cold?
Q.4. Running was on petrol with Caltex Havoline formula and now i have switched to CNG with Shell helix HX7 10-40W (synthetic) , is shell HX7 ok?

What else should i do or check to get max output and efficiency from my g-10?

    regards

after-note: In addition to the above queries, this thread also contains info on carburetor, AC, electrical, cooling system, brakes & gear issues related to khyber G-10.

Special thanks to following experts :
Xulfiqar, Fas133, Margallar, Ahsanzs, wasay_Ahmad, Xplorer, jz, Daniyal
for their valuable contributions and last but not least
I am greatful to Cracked for keeping this thread alive by
    raising all the queries/question.

Please suggest a battery with ur personal reviews.

    Thanks
I,ve been using the AGS one (55 amps).
Got it in last summer and Im completely satisfied with its performance.
    Car starts within a second.
Even with the headlights and AC switched on the car starts within a second.
BTW do check the dry battery which @cracked mentioned.
I,ve heard that these dry batteries are mantainance free.

the sound is not from the calipers , its from the disc pads... You can check closely by , lifting the front of the car from one side, remove the tyre and start the engine with handbrakes and stoppers in place. Put the vehicle in 2nd or 3rd gear. the disc will start rotating. watch carefully while some one presses the brake gently. You may see brake pads move in their place producing the sound.

Try this on both sides and tell me the results

It would be difficult for me since Im having no proper jackstands to lift the car securely.

Bearing sound do not disaapear after a while rather it increases with time and speed and the sound of the bearing is not "Khar Khar" its like an echo (goonj).

The rattling you are talking about is from the gears (grari) inside the gear box. You have not mentioned that you changed the gear oil as decided earlier.
The cause of your problem is that some of the gears which are above the normal oil level initially make such sound when the engine is being started after a few hours but after few minutes the oil is splashed over them by the moving gear below and sound is gone.

for its solution, Follow as below

    1. Drain out the old oil from the drain plug beneath the gear box. (the gear oil should be hot as hot oil gets out faster)
    2. let it drip for 30 minutes or so.
    3. clean the drain plug before fixing it back, use thread to seal the bolt.
    4. remove the speedometer cable assembly from the top back corner of the gear box (its fixed with a 10mm bolt).
    5. Put 2.3 litres of gear oil (Zic) alongwith 444ml of oil treatment from the opening where the speedometer cable was fixed.
    6. fix the speedo cable back.

The reason of putting the oil from the speedo side is that it allows you to slightly overfill the gear oil so the gears which were above the oil level should get in and remain lubricated even when the car is not used for days.

Try this before getting your gear box out of the car.
