Default Self Tuning - Khyber G-10 (Plugs, valve clearance, spark gap etc)

    Salam

    dear members/experts

I own a khyber 1996. Recently overhauled its engine completely at home by myself except the mechanist part. It has its first oil change at 1100Km yesterday and i am planning to tune it. I have following query for the learned members/experts

Q.1. recommended spark plugs for khyber g-10 on CNG
    Q.2. Recommended spark plug gap?
    Q.3. Recommended tappet setting Hot/cold?
Q.4. Running was on petrol with Caltex Havoline formula and now i have switched to CNG with Shell helix HX7 10-40W (synthetic) , is shell HX7 ok?

What else should i do or check to get max output and efficiency from my g-10?

    regards

after-note: In addition to the above queries, this thread also contains info on carburetor, AC, electrical, cooling system, brakes & gear issues related to khyber G-10.

Special thanks to following experts :
Xulfiqar, Fas133, Margallar, Ahsanzs, wasay_Ahmad, Xplorer, jz, Daniyal
for their valuable contributions and last but not least
I am greatful to Cracked for keeping this thread alive by
    raising all the queries/question.

Yes , it was @Rozzz's khyber and he has a G15a swap.

i think, Cultus meter is not an option and may not worth the trouble. I would recommend you to find the digital one which came in old jdm swift 1988-1989. it will be a bolt on fit but very hard to find.

Which thermostat valve would be good for khyber?
    1) Genuine (Calorstat, Made in France) 82°C rating but used (Kabli type)
    2) New, Chinese or Taiwanese type
Finding a new genuine one would be difficult or costly.

Spectra is a great car but would not it be difficult to find its parts?
What about Kia Classic? Its parts availability is better than Spectra.

    Khyber's pick is not worse.
It has the best pick in 1000cc stock cars.

yup man,i knw khyber is good in pick n all..but i was talkin abt classic being 1300 cc,tou kia faida kyber sale kr k classic lainy ka
n abt chinese thermostat, prob is its temp is dfrnt than noral.mean it opens earlier than genuine t-stat..
like in half way of temp needle,it opens full but the auto fan dont kicks in...fan kicks in at half temp gauge..
but its good as t-stat warms up car quickly, lik in 2-3 minutes, car is good to go...prob is wen car reaches at full half way temp gauge,t-stat myt b full open inside engine n it wont b closing till temp falls to 25% of temp gauge..
thts y im thinkin to get it changed next wiinter..in summers,it will work just fine....

    Default Bonnet rod noise issue

My Khyber's bonnet rod does not remain at its position when the bonnet is down because the part which holds it, has become loose. Due to this the metal rod touches the metal body of the car and produce very bad annoying noise. Any ideas how to solve this issue?

Yes I know that it is not that expensive but it is not available anywhere. I visited Waseem Autos and Kiyani autos. Both these shops are famous for Suzuki parts in Rawalpindi/Islamabad. But that plastic part was not available there.

I have wrapped nitto tape on the rod to increase it's thicness and then it fits tightly in the hook.Try it.

    Already tried it
The grip becomes more loose in this way as the plastic part opens its face and can not hold the rod for more than one second.

    Default Problem solved :)

Today, luckily I have found that plastic part which holds the bonnet rod, and its a perfect fit.
As mentioned by Xulfiqar, I found that part at a very small corner type shop near my house.
