Default Self Tuning - Khyber G-10 (Plugs, valve clearance, spark gap etc)

    Salam

    dear members/experts

I own a khyber 1996. Recently overhauled its engine completely at home by myself except the mechanist part. It has its first oil change at 1100Km yesterday and i am planning to tune it. I have following query for the learned members/experts

Q.1. recommended spark plugs for khyber g-10 on CNG
    Q.2. Recommended spark plug gap?
    Q.3. Recommended tappet setting Hot/cold?
Q.4. Running was on petrol with Caltex Havoline formula and now i have switched to CNG with Shell helix HX7 10-40W (synthetic) , is shell HX7 ok?

What else should i do or check to get max output and efficiency from my g-10?

    regards

after-note: In addition to the above queries, this thread also contains info on carburetor, AC, electrical, cooling system, brakes & gear issues related to khyber G-10.

Special thanks to following experts :
Xulfiqar, Fas133, Margallar, Ahsanzs, wasay_Ahmad, Xplorer, jz, Daniyal
for their valuable contributions and last but not least
I am greatful to Cracked for keeping this thread alive by
    raising all the queries/question.

    Yes...

But I wanted to increase the width of the tyre... I have 2 choices with 165 width:

    Tire 1: 165/65R13 544 mm

    Tire 2: 165/60R13 528 mm

    Stock Tire: 145/60/12 536 mm

In fact I found a really nice website that compares different tyre sizes with your stock tyre size. Don't have link right now but will share it.

I will visit market on saturday

What do you suggest from the above sizes. One is a bit larger (1.4%) and other is a bit smaller (1.6%). What should I go with smaller or larger?

go for 165/65R13 tyre. We r using it in our khyber with no problem at all. it also increases grip and braking.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

Any suggestion or comment from others before I go with 165/65R13?

reason is wen u turn ur ac on,the radiator fan also strt working,so it brings needle down, but wen ac is not running, radiator fan is controlled by thermostat switch,so its the thermostat switch settings to kick in fan on 70% of gauge..however i think it shud kick in on approx 60% first time n then shud keep needle on 50%

Default Sudden noise in A/C system

Today I was driving my Khyber. It was afternoon, the A/C was on, suddenly a sharp screeching noise came from engine near the fan belt side. I switched off the A/C and that sound vanished. After about a minute or so I switched on the A/C and that screeching noice appeared again.
I opened up the bonnet and found the following part loose. Can anyone tell me that is it the cause of that noise? And where it should be attached?

Today I went to mechanic to show him that loose belt tensioner. He was a normal mechanic, not that deals only with A/Cs. He said that the bolt is broken and it is in compressor. It is a 3,4 hour job and I will charge you 500 Rs for that. He said that I will try that the gas should not escape.
    Any suggestions?

From the pics the compressor bolt is missing , so it could either got loose and fell somewhere or it got broken with its thread stuck in the compressor. Compressor bolt usually get loose and while it is loose its vulnerable to breaking coz of vibration from the compressor and on & off jerks.

It may hardly be an hour job and the refrigerant need not to be removed.

    Labour charges are OK.

If you have some tools with you, you can do it your self if the broken bolt is slightly visible.

Remove the loose belt or it can slip off and drop somewhere before you get it fixed.

No, I can not do it myself and I can't see the broken bolt as well.
I will go to the workshop tomorrow morning.

The manual says that its engine oil capacity is 3.5L. However I always pour around 3.2L and it gets filled to the maximum level. I always change the oil filter as well at oil change.
The oil should be filled till the upper mark of the dip stick. I mean oil should be touching that hole.
It is not normal for a car to have decreased engine oil level before oil change. The oil viscosity does get less when approaching drain interval but it does not mean that the car starts drinking oil.
