Default Self Tuning - Khyber G-10 (Plugs, valve clearance, spark gap etc)

    Salam

    dear members/experts

I own a khyber 1996. Recently overhauled its engine completely at home by myself except the mechanist part. It has its first oil change at 1100Km yesterday and i am planning to tune it. I have following query for the learned members/experts

Q.1. recommended spark plugs for khyber g-10 on CNG
    Q.2. Recommended spark plug gap?
    Q.3. Recommended tappet setting Hot/cold?
Q.4. Running was on petrol with Caltex Havoline formula and now i have switched to CNG with Shell helix HX7 10-40W (synthetic) , is shell HX7 ok?

What else should i do or check to get max output and efficiency from my g-10?

    regards

after-note: In addition to the above queries, this thread also contains info on carburetor, AC, electrical, cooling system, brakes & gear issues related to khyber G-10.

Special thanks to following experts :
Xulfiqar, Fas133, Margallar, Ahsanzs, wasay_Ahmad, Xplorer, jz, Daniyal
for their valuable contributions and last but not least
I am greatful to Cracked for keeping this thread alive by
    raising all the queries/question.

There is no need to remove dash board to get the evaporator out in khyber.Just remove the blower unit first and then you can remove the evaporator easily.

Should I take them to some Khiradia and add more steel bars or buy new seats?
To be very honest the front seats are not that much comfortable.
If I were you then I would have tried to fit in some better and more comfortable ones.

    Weak in what sense?
    Weak engine mounts?
Rust issues or was the front involved in any severe collision?

    Yes it is possible.
No need to remove the complete dashboard.

thinking of adding a strut bar on top of front suspension, previously we use to repair chasis every 6 to 8 months.
can anyone quote me the price and its availability.
i also need the accurate dimensions of the distance between the front suspension where strut bar will be added.

Yes you are right. The front seats are not so comfortable. I was also thinking of placing some other car's seats. Do you have any idea which car seats can be fitted in Khyber?

The axles of my Suzuki Khyber are also giving problems. I hear a tuk tuk voice on turnings. The Kabli parts of Suzuki Khyber are very expensive nowadays due to the fact that the production of this car was stopped decades ago, hence the parts are scarce now. Should I go for brand new Chinese ones? Any idea about the cost?

    Hi guys,

I've read about the temperature gauge being up to the middle is fine, i recently overhauled my engine and before the temp gauge was similar to what daniyal posted but now normally its way up not even in the middle like others. I told the mechanic and he gave me the same reason your mechanics gave you for it being close to the half point mark.

Also another question i am not happy with the performance of the car before overhauling i was able to go upto 140 kph on cng but now its like impossible to go beyond 110 kph, again i enquired my mechanic he said "thora kharcha kerna paray ga uss k liyae" i already paid 48k for the overhaul also it was not complete engine it was just the upperbody i don't know what its called but its the one with pistons neechla portion engine ka theek tha so pura engine was not needed.

So my problem is i want to get my engine checked, if its good or not? Since i am not satisfied with the performance after spending so much money so before i go ahead and do "thora or kharcha" i want to be sure k engine is ok.

Is it the price of the whole axles or just the outer ends?

You paid 48,000 Rs for half engine overhaul?
    The mechanic looted you badly.
